Not sure what happened to this place. We stopped hoping for a drink and light lunch, but were told by the barman that no food at all was available. There were no other guests inside, and only one outdoor table was occupied. We just had a quick thirst quenching lemonade for a few Euros and left. A shame, as they have nice outdoor space.

Friday 15th October and we visited Playa Santiago, situated on the south coast of La Gomera.
Having walked along the seafront promenade, we stopped here for a coffee. We sat outside at one of the tables on the pavement. We ordered 2 cafe con leche, from the young polite waiter.
Our coffees were served with a very nice little biscuits. We sat for a while enjoying our coffees watching the world pass by.
Good coffee €1.40 each, polite staff and a clean well maintained cafe.

Stopped here for lunch. Very large menu - sandwiches, burgers, pizza, dirty fries, Mexican dishes, all priced very, very reasonably. Good service from the waiters.

The food at Hotel Jardin Tecina was terrible. Luckily, this place was just down the road and we ate here every day instead. The service was excellent and the food was just what the doctor ordered. And all for a reasonable price.

We actually ended up here a few times during our recent stay near playa de Santiago. Mainly because a lot of the restaurants are closed at the moment due to resurfacing of the pavements and not quite being in season yet, but also because the first time we had food we were so pleasantly surprised.
If you are looking for unfussy, nicely cooked with a homely vibe this is for you. We tried the calamari, chicken breast both served with chips and a fresh salad. Our daughter had the special burger, an American burger and then once lunch time we had the Venezuelan arepas... which were all delicious.
The food isn’t fussy and the portions aren’t massive but for 3.50euros for a massive dirty burger you can’t really complain.
We enjoyed sitting here both lunch and dinner times....watching the locals including Bob Marley and pals, and the kids playing in the square.
We’d definitely return especially if we learn some Spanish as it would be a great place for a chinwag Spanish style.

Stopped by for a quick bite. I'm an American woman who was traveling solo on a day trip to Playa de Santiago. So glad I stopped! Great service, super nice server. Had a very good Mojito and classic bocadilla. Would return :)

We went here for lunch a couple of times. Wide choice on the menu, good food cooked fresh. Very cheap and plenty of local colour. Well worth a visit.

The owner served us a decent breakfast and arranged a taxi. Nice local bar, seems often chosen by locals, a little bit American way with music & sport channels quite loud inside. Worth visiting anyway.

During our stay around the resort we used this restaurant on a number of occasions. You can sit across the street overlooking the harbour .
Staff a little one paced but the food ranging from plate meals to snacks . The wine is well priced and a good standard.

This is a friendly, efficient and cheap bar on the main square. It has a small selection of speciality bottled beers as well as kegs. You can sit inside, on the square or more pleasantly across the road under canvas next to the sea.

We visited for lunch 16/03/17 on a day out driving around La Gomera. We drove down to playa Santiago , saw a free table & just ordered. I had a tuna salad & my partner the tuna steak with Canadian potatoes & salad. We shared a bottle of fizzy water & bread. Total cost only €16 so a pretty cheap lunch at a very nice spot, worth a stop.

We always come here for a pre dinner drink.
Excellent prices, the locals bar. V Spanish indeed ,as well as bad Thomas , opposite.

You can sit outside this place but it's on the other side of a not very busy road so you can sit under umbrellas by the sea. Food really nice and a good price and the waiter very helpful.
