Tasty but little

Went in on a busy Saturday evening, but that was no problem and a table was freed up. The food is delicious, but little. My teenage son simply couldn't eat sticky rib fingers and half a baked potato. Service slow, but once you finally ordered something, the food came quickly. Except for the chocolate soufflé, if you both order coffee and dessert and the other has to wait half an hour, that's not fun. Due to the large group of tourists there, the other guests seemed to be forgotten, which is a shame, because it is a nice restaurant.

Fresh Options for a Satisfying Dinner

We didn't have a reservation but were given the last table inside and as it was a drizzly night, we made ourselves at home. The server struggled to explain the choices in English but we eventually figured out the options. The special menu included an excellently prepared steak kabobs and cod filet that came with an assortment of vegetables and starch. We enjoyed the beer with the meal as well as desserts to finish: 3 scoop ice cream and a mango crème patisserie.

Restaurant Julie's is an absolute must for a culinary experience. Thanks to the excellent efforts of the team, especially Sacha – a real hospitality tiger – our evening became unforgettable. Sacha’s passion and knowledge shine through in the perfect wine pairings and his hospitality. With their charm, expertise and attention to detail, Sofie, Jessie and Isabelle created a warm, refined atmosphere and beautifully presented dishes. A visit to Julie's is a feast for the senses and well worth it!

Unique Service. You will be picked up!

Julie's has provided a service that we have not experienced anywhere else. We were at a park nearby and had already had a nice drink, so we could no longer drive ourselves. There was also no taxi available... Called the restaurant and asked if they could pick us up. No problem! We drove back and forth twice and everyone was sitting at the table. And not unimportantly... the food was also super tasty.

Great dinner for two.

Decided spontaneously to went there for a dinner and got a very nice and private table at a window. Perfect for a romantic dinner. Service was attentive but not obtrusive. Recommend food delicious and the Primitivo fruitful and tasteful. Spent a great time there and will come back at a first occasion.

Particularly bad experience. Rooms not clean. Old junk. May not bear the name hotel . Mountains and surroundings is very nice and attractive. I lived in Schoorl myself. I have alerted the staff to these imperfections. Answers like "I can't do anything about this" and that's all we can offer.

I was visiting my hometown and decided to have dinner with old friends in Bergen. We ended up at Julie's - right in the town center. Nice location We had a small appetizer which was quick & good. Our main course came with side dishes - and that's when chaos started. Our main meal was served pretty late - but without the side dishes. Staff said: 'they follow shortly'. And you guessed it - they never arrived. After finishing our main meal (about 30 minutes later) we cancelled our side dishes. Strangely enough: staff didn't seem surprised. And didn't apologize or anything. That was pretty bad.

Disappointing

Although we had good experience during past visits we were this time disappointed with the quality of the food served. The starters, smoked salmon and tuna were acceptable but the Rib Eye as main course was unacceptable and very chewy , the vegetables served with the steak were hard and did not seem to be cooked well. Certainly a disappointing visit this time !

Awful service.

The food is okay, I ordered the burger & it was mildly disappointing and overcooked. The worst thing about my experience at Julie! was the service and the incredibly rude manager. We waited for over an hour for our food and when we complained, the manager first of all asked us if we wanted to leave and then he tried to blame the problem on us. He feebly offered us free drinks (which only turned out to be house wine & soda) and avoided questions of a discount. All in all, the area around the restaurant has lots of different places to eat which I am sure have much better service, and I would recommend to go eat at Loetje where the service was great & food much better. Incredibly disappointed and one of my worst restaurant experiences.

Incredibly rude service!!!!!NEVER AGAIN

I went for dinner with some friends. After waiting for more than an hour for our order, the owner came to us and asked us if we wanted to leave and said it would be fine because he said sorry and we had no right to be annoyed about the situation. They didn't apologize and tried to make it our fault because of "wrong" way of ordering. We have never been treated so badly in a restaurant and will definitely not come back. Totally ridiculous and rude service !!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

This place is sort of trendy, customers younger than in many other restaurants here in Bergen. The food we had was very good, even if the accompaniement of the main dishes was limited to salad and fries. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere relaxed, not too noisy.the bill came to 75 EUR for two, including main dish, dessert and some wine.

Despite reasonable food, the service was quite poor

We visited (couple) during the week for a late lunch - it was not extremely crowded; it was unclear if we could seat ourselves so we stood at the door; the lady behind the counter was 'very busy' making coffee - and those other ladies serving at the table did not notice us either. So after a couple of minutes we just seated ourselves. Then it took again approx. 10 minutes before we were noticed. One of us ordered a sandwich/carpaccio while the other went for a bread with hamburger and French fries. The food was reasonable. When we asked for a check we got our neighbors' check (which was higher) - but nevertheless, even an apology was too much for the 'ever busy with themselves' waitresses. Of course nice that food is decent in a restaurant but these days you can get decent lunches anywhere, so atmosphere of which service is a crucial part is - to us - quite important. Will not return - but we can hardly understand the ladies will notice:)
