Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Staying at the same hotel, the Sitio da Pedralva was the only dinner option available. Fortunately, the food and service were on point and we left satisfied. Read on for details.
Connected to the hotel office by a lounge, the Sitio da Pedralva has an informal rustic feel. There was one man waiting on the not-to-crowded dining room; he was friendly and efficient. The rack of lamb was nicely cooked and seasoned. The steak, clearly an inferior cut as it was pretty chewy, was also nicely cooked (rare.)
The prices were fair.
If your travels take you to Pedralva, Sitio da Pedralva is a solid place for dinner. (The buffet breakfast the following morning was excellent.)

Staying at Pedralva we spent three evening in this restaurant, happy all the time. Great dishes - try the shrimp scewer, the chees with honey, berries and nuts or anything else on the meny, ghood quality on everything we had. The squids were just packed with flavour! And don't miss the "chef's mother's sweet"!
Very friendly staff! Extra thanks for the interesting discussions and the good recommendations on the wines! It's a pleasure twhen the staff is both knowledgeable and eager to share that knowledge!

The presentation of the food was excellent and it tasted even better. We had two dinners at the restaurant and loved them. Edourdo, our server was so interesting and so thoughtful and efficient. The chef, who came out to talk to us, has an amazing story and it turns out he's a really good photographer as well as a chef. So glad we were able to visit this delightful restaurant.

We went there 3 days ago. When we asked if we could eat, a very unpleasant gentleman told us that he was not cooking that day. As is often the case, restaurateurs do not update their information. We made a useless detour in the pampas because there is nothing to see.

Regular customer.
If you want to eat a good shrimp skewer, cod in bread or well-grilled meat, don't hesitate to visit this restaurant.
To good food you can add kindness in serving and responding to your requests.
Congratulations. 🥂
Take the opportunity to take a walk in the restored village

Very rude staff member (I believe it’s the head waiter with glasses). Unprofessional and unfriendly. We usually have breakfast at the place and the waiters were very helpful and 2 days later the waiter mentioned above refused to serve us but also they way he pushed us away. Not to mentioned that this is the only restaurant in the aldeia. So if you want to eat there is nowhere else to go to. Worst customer service I ever experience from this specific waiter and I must say I wouldn’t refer this place to anyone that I know. They have a lot to think about on how to treat customers.

Stayed at the village hotel in Pedralva 2 nights and this place was the only option for food - luckily it was excellent. Friendly service, prices reasonable and quality of the food was outstanding. Good wine by the glass. The dining room had a roaring wood fire stove too, very welcome on a chilly February evening.

We stopped for lunch while walking through. It's called the 'slow village'. Service was a bit slow and wifi was poor where we sat outside. However, the fish in a bread loaf was amazing and worth the wait.

Best restaurant we ate during our trip to the Algarve. The food was excellent and it is a nice place in a quiet village. You really feel. Relaxed out there. We would definitely recommend the bacalhau no pão à Peldralva which is the house specialty. And keep room for desert. The chef mother sweet is the best desert we had during our stay in Portugal!

An hour waiting for the tickets that never came, we left. Meanwhile, I witnessed a group of four people leaving (they were 20 minutes waiting to make the order they never got to make). The cherry on the top of the cake was when someone in another room other than mine decided to abandon the restaurant too and the employees still joked among them ‘have a hurry, go away’. Total lack of respect for customers.

The four of us decided to go for lunch at Pedralva after our morning walk. The scene is authentic, quiet and relaxing. The food was great and excellent vegetarian options. The service was super and helpful team. Great find just outside the main village. It’s definitely worth a visit.

Gut service and very nice food. The people are taking care and the view during seating is fantastic. We where a bit sceptical because the negative feedback of some visitors, is perfect

Well worth a diversion off the beaten track into Pedralva - excellent food and service at a very reasonable price. Ring first for booking, it can get busy if the hotel at Pedralva is full.

Some of the best food you can find in the Costa Vicentina! We took the flambé chorizo, bacalo no pao and shrimp skews and everything was delicious and well presented. Cosy atmosphere as well in the beautiful traditional village of Pedralva
