Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Delicious lunch. Coffee great. Whitebait sandwich for under $20 with a quarter of a pound of whitebait. The best. Also delicious fruit ice cream sundae.

Called into 'Vinnies' cafe for lunch as their reviews were great. My partner had the sausage roll & I had the chicken & cranberry pie ... both were delicious & full of flavour....To finish we had a blueberry smoothie & an iced coffee (only complaint...was the iced coffee had too much ice in it & was more like a frappe')More

Best meal we have had in NZ! Huge serves and the food tasted delicious. We had the mac & cheese, French omelette and I had the seafood chowder. The chowder was full of so many yummy goodies. Nice outdoor area for seating too. Highly recommend.

Dropped in for a late lunch after a walk and had the toasties which were delcicious - really generous portion and inexpensively priced! Coffee was also excellent. Lots of good vegetarian and Vegan options. Service was so friendly and we felt very welcome. Sat in...the lovely garden area which was gorgeous in the sunshine. Only regret was not getting a sweet treat too as they looked amazing!More

I booked Vinnies Cafe for my friends three years ago but covid prevent it happening so there was much expectation when we arrived. We were not disappointed, we were amazed with the quality and presentation of the meal, the high lights being Whitebait and Venison....Three of our party had special food requirement which were meet without issue. It was so good the next day we went back for a late lunch and enjoyed their very meaty pies. Karamera is well worth visiting and make sure you don't miss Vinnies; say hi to Vinnie.More

Vinnies offered great food but also the proprietor offered great help to our group of Pre-wedding celebrators. He went out of his way to make our large group welcome and to plan for our numbers.

The food and customer service at Vinnie's was exceptional. We were a large group of 12 and had breakfasts and lunches over the weekend and their range of food and ability to cater for some different diets was much appreciated.

Quirky cafe in the middle of Karamea, well worth the visit. Booking ahead really helped them cope with a big group on a Sunday morning!

Feeding a family of four is never an easy task, especially when two of us are teenagers. Everyone found something that sounded good from the menu. I had the big breakfast which lived up to its name. Beautiful eggs, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms, and a...very tasty sausage. I only just managed to finish it. The boys had yummy toasties. The coffee was excellent too.More
