Just a quick coffee stop and ended up a great experience. From the lovely coffee, beautiful mug, lovely pastries, beautiful Brownie, even the tomato sauce and aioli was top shelf. The cabinet food looked amazing and the other guests had beautiful looking food. And oh the staff were lovely and a big shout out to the barister. Topped off with some super chilled music. Top work guys.

Service & Food highly recommended. I had the pleasure of joining in on an outing, prior to Xmas, with a lovely group of people where we ended our day by going to the Two Fish Cafe. The staff were very obliging, nothing was too much trouble & the food was lovely.

Superb coffee here and very good service. Comfortable seating outside. Food in cabinet, eg. Almond croissants looked delicious.

Go there if you're into fish or especially into fish&chips. This nice restaurant has it all and more importantly, it's very tasty. Highly recommended

We found this treasure of a cafe with a delicious menu. To find such a place in a small town is such a wonderful surprise. Lovely service as well. We had omelets (with meat and no meat) and the nachos dish for the four of us, a child and three adults.

Oh dear .We have always stopped at Two Fish. Previous owners produced wonderful food and excellent coffee. Great vibe .This time coffee bitter,stuffed baked kumara bland and salmon salad almost forgot the salmon. Prices up there.The cafe closes at 2.30 but the loo was closed well before then !. Really important to have access, especially for travelers !

Great coffee, nice hot cheese muffin/scone. Prices were up there, not what I would call on the cheaper side but what I would expect a boutique cafe to charge. Unfortunately no tables left and I was actually looking to have a sit down lunch and order a meal but because it was so cold outside went with a takeaway cappaccino and scone.I'd suggest more tables if they could fit them in ...

Dropped in for coffee. Couldn't resist delicious looking muffin as well. Not disappointed. Both of us impressed by proper muffins and excellent coffee. Service was calm, friendly and efficient. One feels staff care about their work and like their patrons. Will certainly recommend and be back.

Popped into Two fish on Tuesday for brunch while the car was getting serviced.
As usual the food and coffee was great.
We had to eat and run as it was warmer outside than inside the cafe. The gorgeous waitress was rubbing her hands and I noticed everyone had left there coats and scarfs on while eating. Im sure a couple of heater would warm that place in no time especially when there is a full house.

My wife and I were travelling around in our motorhome last week and stayed in Opotiki for a couple of days. We really enjoyed our stay, but the highlight was finding one of the best little cafe`s we have been in for a long time.
The Two Fish Cafe has some of the best coffee we have tasted around NZ and the cakes we chose were fresh and very tasty.
We look forward to going there again

Wow, mug sizes are the biggest I’ve ever had! Food is really good, it’s a popular place so it can be busy but all the staff are pretty efficient & very friendly. Highly recommend

Neither my husband (who usually eats anything) or I could finish our baguettes. There were too many strong flavours together. My tea cup was stained however the tea and coffee were good. The omelette looked good and we wished we had ordered it.

Went to Two Fish Café when on holiday. Irish lady at counter (supported by the barista maker) said they had 1 GF muffin but I was given a wheat one. I was trusting and suffered health effect. For some people such as coeliacs, the symptoms can be severe. Come on Two Fish Café people, do you really want to make people sick! I didn't appreciate it and thanks for doing it to me!

This place had gone downhill. There's limited options in the cabinets, I was told the price of the coffee advertised on their blackboard was wrong and instead all lettuces have gone up, my coffee was given to the wrong people and the service was slow. However the chocolate banana muffin was tasty. Never going back here. I was extremely annoyed about the wing prices being advertised.
