It’s in the little alley near the steamed buns. Run by Australians, the place is small and cramped with seating for maybe 10-15 people squashed in (takeaway is okay). This place is open 7.30am - 10pm so it is a great place to go between lunch and dinner as most other places are closed at that time. We went at 4pm and shared a genkik burger and fries. At 1800 yen it was enough to last us till dinner. Burgers are more then what I’d pay In Aus but I guess that’s the premium for being up in the mountains.

Just off main shopping road up the side road next to Haus St Anton cafe. Very basic place with very few tables to eat in, as place does big take out trade as well as people eating in. Burgers themselves are juicy and tasty with a massive selection plus individual toppings. You have to wait a while when busy as it’s a small open kitchen with only three guys working the whole thing, but worth the wait. Chicken and veg burgers as well. Few loaded fries options and great fresh crunchy coleslaw. Soft drinks and beers available. Nice for a change from Japanese food on a visit.

We were in Nozawa for 9 days and as much as we were trying to have a more traditional Japanese experience, we couldn’t resist Genki burger and we visited 3 times!! One of the few places that opens from 10am for food. Mouth watering burgers and yummy fries. Lovely guys that work there. Highly recommend

Hungry & tired from a day of skiing, thought it a great stop off for a quick burger. Close to the downhill route home & also a refreshing beer to add. However, Henry’s language in full audio of women & children was a downer for me. Must be the transient Australian ski worker’s culture to feel comfortable & be cool to express such foul mouthed language in a service industry environment full of families. Pull your socks up mate, or put a sock in it - I nearly did

This place was by far my favourite place in whole of Nozawaonsen. Their selections of burgers are all delicious with juicy patties covered with CRISPY bacon. My ultimate favourite was the "Abunai" can highly recommend! The Nozawa is also delicious along with the "Umam"!!

Three of us came here a couple of times. The burgers were tasty according to my children and I can recommend the chips - nice big fat ones.
They need to get a bit more ventilation happening as it was very stuffy inside - and hard to get the smell out of your clothes afterwards - think heavy winter jacket. Once they get that sorted I will go back.

No exaggeration when I say I ate here almost everyday at one point when I was in noz. The burgers are so good and absolutely huge, better than most restaurants in the UK. However the loaded fries where my all time favorite, the guys behind the counter ended up knowing my order by heart . it also has a really cool vibe , the staff are super friendly and I had to get the genki playlist of Finn. 10/10 what you need after a day on the slopes

It's nothing fancy, barely a shack near the centre of town, but it's such a good burger, pretty decent fries too. After a day on the slopes it really hits the spot, the beef and chicken burgers are top notch.

Lots of gushing reviews here, but I've got to admit, Genki is trashy, grungy and grotty and the burgers are OK but waaaay overpriced. Heck even a tiny can of orange juice was 500 yen which I saw at another shop barely 20 steps away for 180 yen.

We got the basic burger as takeaway, made to order, nice thick meat patty, fries were also freshly cooked and crunchy. Nice for change if you need a break from japanese food.

How busy it was just shows how much everyone loves this place. The guys running the joint are awesome and the food is even better! If it’s too busy takeaway is a good option too! Highly recommend whilst in Nozawa.
