Cuisine not bad and prices in the local average.
A drop of style the glass of wine, just a drop added to 'tasting.
Among the desserts we were listed the cassata we ordered, but then we saw serving at the next table some cassatas.
This should be specified because they have a very different glaze/ ricotta proportion.
I ask to replace the order with a sorbet and am told that it was not possible because it had already been served.
I am proposed to take EVEN a sorbet but that was not the point.
I found it very rude because, precisely as a cassatina, it was not a slice specially cut.
The really serious thing is that newborn fish balls are served, the fishing of which is absolutely forbidden.
The matter has also recently been brought before the European Parliament and could lead to infringement proceedings against Italy.

Tried on the occasion of a family dinner, inside the room. Pleasant as decor, well maintained. Friendly and friendly staff. Good quality dishes, both raw fish (we tried the vertical raw), and cooked (very good octopus). Worthy of particular mention is the risotto with red shrimp and burrata. On dishes nothing to say, worth the experience. Something to improve on service times (slightly long). It is not a surprise (just see the menu on the site) but prices a little above average: aware of this aspect, the visit to the place is still worth it.

For many years we come on holiday to the nearby Aliga quarry but we had never tried this restaurant. We show up in two on the evening of August 14, without Reservation, we are welcomed with courtesy and professionalism.
Exquisite dishes especially the first of the day: risotto with red shrimp and buffalo stracciatella. The bill a little 'Altino but it was worth it.
Congratulations to the chef and all the staff.

New location but service not up to expectations. Second courses definitely not cooked according to tradition. I took a marinara sauce, it looked like a stew, and my wife did the same for the tuna which seemed to be in broth. High price for the quality and service. Not recommended.

This is our fourth visit to this attractive restaurant. The cookery is a cut above most of the restaurants that are within about 30 km. The owner speaks English and she is in charge and part of the good service. One tip is if you are buying the fish that is one show ask them to weigh the fish and give you a price. Our fish was well cooked and could have served 3 people but we had it for 2. The price was 54E. We also enjoy a little simple small salad of blood orange and rocket and always order it if on the menu. The only slight negative was the pana cotta which was too firm. Cassata Ricotta was better.

High quality restaurant, with enterprising and friendly young staff.
They immediately showed us the catch of the day with the menu.
We took 2 first courses which are a Sicilian reinterpretation of two Italian classics.
Seafood carbonara with instead of bacon, excellent swordfish and seared tuna
And a seafood amatriciana with pepper sauce with riola inside.
Excellent fish made with fresh fish of the day.
Highly recommended, WELL DONE!!!

One can well speak of excellent quality cuisine with the ability to offer a skilful balance of flavors. In each dish. From appetizers to desserts. We were there twice in a week because finally here we found the Sicilian flavors of the sea. Bright, tidy, nice, clean room. Friendly and competent staff, even in terms of wines. Smiles and sympathy. In my personal list I put: sardine meatballs, spatula parmesan (that night off the menu), seafood carbonara, grilled slice of ombrina and a mixture of frosts for dessert. We will be back as soon as possible.

Wonderful dinner and friendly, youthful and knowledgeable staff. I had an aperitif and a first course, a "Sea Carbonara", highly recommended especially for lovers of classic Carbonara. By tasting a little here and there from the other diners I was also able to taste the anchovies (the best I've ever eaten) and also other dishes that left me pleasantly surprised. Clean and welcoming place and easily accessible location. Prices are fair and in line, with truly generous portions. Highly recommended for any eventuality, I hope to return as soon as possible to be able to taste the entire menu.

Mezzaparola, which takes inspiration from the Sicilian dialect expression "Menza word", is a decidedly appropriate name to define the essence of this "house of seafood cuisine". When in Sicily you respond by saying without a word, you mean: what has already been done, there is no need to talk about it again, the discussion is over.
In our case, with the Mezzaparola restaurant, the maritime culinary discussion ends without too many premises and promises or sophisticated parodies to dazzle customers or patrons. This place has a strong and proud identity, a personality that is almost shy of cooking methods born from current trends. In this regard, I would like to remind you, peace be upon your soul, of Mr. Fumia, founding father, with his daughter Michela, of this restaurant. Here, anyone who has known the pride and unassailable moral integrity of this man, simple and shy but at the same time proud and hard to scratch, could perceive the symbiosis between the identity of this restaurant and the figure of its founder. In short, they are one and the same! Talking about cooking for me is superficial, I could tell you "Mezzaparola" to make sure we are sure of finding a raw material that still moves and that is not manipulated or altered by its innate organoleptic characteristics.
Spaghetti alla Chitarra with imperial crab, slices of swordfish and tuna cut fresh and then smoked at home and served with citrus fruits to sweeten the woody notes given by the fumes used. To dwell is to go against the pure essence of synthesis and concreteness of this place.
To every question about quality...The only answer given will be: Mezzaparola!

The young chef's cuisine stands out for its attention to detail and the skilful management of raw materials. The flavors are authentic and absolutely non-trivial. The staff is courteous and competent. The place reflects what you are looking for in a seaside town like Donnalucata. TO TRY!

Visited here on a Monday night, a little apprehensively however we were pleasantly surprised to have an excellent meal. Our shared prawn risotto was so tasty and our fish main courses were equally as good, best cooked tuna of our holiday. Nice wine and coffee.

We have just eaten at this restaurant. The meal was good - we enjoyed the starters and my husband had sword fish as the main course (18 euros). I chose a whole sea bream as part of catch of the day. No indication was given as to prices - I clearly should have asked. The fish was good - fresh sea bream usually is. But when the bill arrived, we were charged 45 Euros for this one fish! As it was my birthday, my husband would not let me question this. It can't have been more than 400g of edible fish. I appreciate that we were paying for the whole fish but this is ridiculous. This has spoilt what should have been a special meal. I feel cheated.
Recommendation: if you opt or fish of the day here, make sure you know the cost in advance to avoid a nasty shock.

This trattoria was recommended to us by the host of our accommodations. Delicious traditional Sicilian fish dishes. We started with the very basic arugula and orange salad. Two of our group had the swordfish with tomato sauce, one had pasta with amberjack and the 4th had seafood pasta. All meals were excellent and the wine suggested by the owner was wonderful.

Family dinner with wife and child. Appetizer with cuttlefish ink arancine and two first courses. Good meal, quality ingredients, efficient and fast service. Price in the local average and above all in line with the increases of recent years. Two glasses of wine, a water, half a portion of penne del pupo, appetizer and two first courses, 76 euros.
