Visited for lunch. Environment excellent, menu good, prices incomparable. Everything is good until you try to order with the "app". App fails to load far too often, staff utterly unhelpful when it does. Just stood grinning at me while I tried to get the menu...up on the phone. No complaints about the food or prices, everything else really good but staff attitude is poor and the "app" desperately needs work. The only thing that came up easily was the allergens menu with no obvious way to get into the ordering process.More

My twin brother Stephen and I decided to have a day out in New Brighton and visit some of the pubs to be found in this eclectic seaside resort and this Wetherspoon pub was at the top of our list of pubs to visit. This...is a big Wetherspoon pub, its got all the superb Wetherspoon touches we all love, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, nice decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and upstairs, there's even a very cool looking upstairs outside terrace and a big courtyard out front of the pub,all in all its a really good Wetherspoon pub. My twin brother Stephen and I track and traced, we sanitised our hands and we were allocated a table were we ordered a burger meal each, we chose a buttermilk burger 🍔 and as part of the meal deal we were entitled to a beer each, we chose Shipyard Brewing Co ipa, these beers were served in excellent condition, we settled down and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular Wetherspoon pub. My beer was really good, a crisp, well balanced ipa bursting with taste, a big hit of hops, hints of citrus and a delicious aroma, a total refreshing brew on a hot afternoon, while sipping our ipa's our burger meals arrived and what a treat, a very lean piece of chicken covered in breadcrumbs, a generous topping on top of the burger and served between two fresh tasty buns, chips 🍟 were thick cut and so tasty and coupled with our ipa's made for a great dining experience in a cool Wetherspoon pub. After we finished our meal and 1st beer we ordered another ipa each as the vibe in this pub was so good before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Master Mariner Pub is easy to locate along Marine Promenade. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 8am till Midnight. Friday & Saturday, 8am till 1am. Sunday, 8am till Midnight. A wonderful Wetherspoon pub, if you're planning a trip to New Brighton a must go destination if you're in need of refreshments.More

Situated near the front, opposite Morrisons. We went there for our breakfasts. Tried to get in for an evening meal but full and queuing outside. They have bought the building next door to extend but that will be a long time yet, before it is...ready. Nice place thoughMore

My twin brother Stephen and I always look forward to visiting The Master Marina Pub ,a superb beachfront Wetherspoon pub in this pretty seaside resort. I love the look of this pub,set over two floors, your typical Wetherspoon pub decorative scheme with nice furnishings and...plenty of seating options spread around this pub both inside and outside, there's even an upstairs outside terrace looking out over to the wonderful expanse of New Brighton Beach. We were here on a Saturday afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands, we were designated a table were we ordered a buttermilk 🍔 burger and 🍟 chips and as part of the meal deal we were entitled to a 🍻 beer each,we chose bottles of Devils Backbone Brewing Co ipa ,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. My beer was really good, a crisp, well balanced, full bodied ipa beer 🍺 bursting with taste and very easy to drink, while sipping our beers our burger meals arrived and what a treat, burgers were delicious, a nice thick cut of lean chicken smothered in breadcrumbs, serverd steaming hot,a generous topping served between two fresh tasty buns, chips were also delicious and coupled with our beers made for a great dining experience in a cool Wetherspoon pub. We both really enjoyed our burger meals and beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to The Master Mariner Pub we had a great time. The Master Mariner Pub is easy to locate along Union Terrace along the promenade. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 8am till Midnight. Friday & Saturday, 8am till 1am. Sunday, 8am till Midnight. A great pub ,if your in the area most definitely well worth a visit.More

Love this place but not opening the upstairs until after breakfast has finished is an own goal with people leaving to have breakfast elsewhere. Always seems to happen, please sort this out.

Visited the mariner on 03/08 We normally visit New Brighton during the summer months for a good walk and drinks. It's very difficult times at present with the current restrictions but at the mariner they are managing it well. We sat outside on the upstairs...terrace which was nice. We took advantage of the current Govt 50% offer and I had a lovely large fish and chips and my wife had a panini with chips. Washed down with a few San Miguel and wine it was a lovely afternoon and visit. The service was excellent and my food was delivered within 15 minutes which was exceptional as it was really busy. Love our visits to the New Brighton Wethies we will be back before the end of August.More
