Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were recommended this cafe by some friends of ours. Easy parking and a bit of a walk to the cafe area. Lovely garden area and setting. Unfortunately we never got our coffee… waited 45min only to be told the coffee machine was broken. Were...offered a refund or to swap to a cold drink…. 20min after swapping to a cold drink still nothing. I know this is small business but seriously a wait like this is unacceptable anywhere. Very nice people but you need to sort how you run your orders! Won’t be returning.More

We like coming here but it’s suffering with being so popular. On our most recent visit we queued for over 20 minutes outside the bus before we could put our order in. Our food arrived after 20 minutes and then the coffee arrived 20 minutes...after the food. We had been there for an hour at that point. They have signs warning of the waiting times to be fair but it spoils the experience somewhat. I can’t think of any other local cafes that would get away with that. Still a great spot if you are in no rush and don’t mind the wait times.More

A very relaxing vibe. Had our coffee under the trees next to the fireplace. Very chilled, could have curled up with my book and stayed for hours.

Loverly service and cute outdoor area that is dog friendly. We walked here from Our bnb at Te Horo beach and isn’t far. Had pie and Mexican stack. OJ tasted like Raro and was not good but coffee ok. Baked goods the best!

It was a hot day but under the shade in a great setting we enjoyed some lovely food. Great service. I believe there might be great donuts but I was there at the wrong time.

Just 5 mins from the main road is Te Horos best kept secret. From the carpark you are lead down a path to a tranquil setting. Stepping into the old bus you are surrounded by books and crafts and this is where you order. A...selection of cabinet food and menu. All freshly cooked on board the food bus by a wonderful crew. Focusing on sustainability serving ware is recycled including cups.Coffee is Supreme and The barista does it justice. The food is amazing and at a good price.Try the coriander and falafel. Crafts and preserves are for sale and their gongs sell like hot cakes. Choose your seating from a summer house to a rear end of a bus. Dogs are welcome and there is plenty of room for children to run around. They are closed from 20 Dec to 10 Jan.More

Found this little gem thanks to TripAdvisor reviews. Definately worth seeking out for the experience. Quirky, different, great spaces & service, great coffee and eats. We enjoyed it as a couple but would be great to hang out with a larger group of people or...young families. Plenty of well organised parking, plenty of quirky seating areas, options for inside in private spaces or lounging outside under umbrellas or on bean bags. Watch out of the tiny Bus Stop sign on the driveway entrance on a rural road in the middle of nowhere - beautiful.More

The Bus Stop was recommended by friends and we dropped by on a windy, wet Saturday morning. The place isn't hard to find but it's definitely off the beaten track. It's quant and quirky but the food was great and reasonably priced. Everything about the...place is friendly and homely. The cafe kitchen is in a 1950's bus with inside seating in several rustic summer houses. I had the smoked fish cakes with a yummy home made Tartare sauce and my wife a Filo parcel. We shared a freshly cooked old school doughnut with lashings of jam and whipped cream that was the bomb! The Bus Stop will definitely be our future stop on trips from Palmy to Wellington.More
