Made a reservation for dinner (Bizen course) about 2 weeks ago and couldn’t wait for the day to try this legendary restaurant. The long and short of it was that I didn’t find any magic here. To be sure,it is pretty much up to the...More

We had a chef selection or Omakase here for lunch. It's a classically tiny sushi place but as in so many of the great one's, it's all about the food. Totally brilliant across the board, incredibly fresh ingredients. Very nice sake to accompany. Just beware...More

We ordered the omakase menu which was recommended by the chef (10,000 yen per head) then ordered 3 extra pieces of sushi which came to additonal aprox 8,500 yen which was 100% above local Japanese prices. The people sitting next to us were Japanese, they...More

Had a few hours to kill waiting for my wife and her Japanese colleague suggested this place for lunch. Not cheap but totally worth it. Some of the best sushi I have ever eaten in my life.

Ginza Kyubey おもてなしの心は? I am sorry to say, but this very expensive sushi shop that used to be one of my favorites, simply is not worth the money anymore. Sushi is NOT just about food. It is very much also about the people near you...More

Kyubey has a number of locations but I mostly frequent their main restaurant [Ginza Honten] or the one on the other side of the same street [Annex]. I've been eating at Kyubey for 18 years and I highly recommend it. The prices are very reasonable...More

Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular

not sure, but you could call them at +81 3 3571 6523. all of the receptionists speak English. but they will ask you to have your hotel make the bookings, as too many people called and cancelled.

I don't recall many non-sushi items but this was truly the best sushi meal I've ever had. My wife doesn't like sushi either so I went without her and it was worth it. This might be a meal for you guys to do your own thing.
