Good and great value for money, but half the things on the menu, the more traditional and interesting ones, were not there. It says they are there subject to availability but there was none either. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we noticed the unspoiled natural beauty of the area.
The place was very clean with great views of the mountains. The host was friendly and helped us to decide what we wanted. The food was delicious and typical of the area. La Tana del Lupo is a small, charming restaurant in the Maiella mountain range of the Abruzzo. Typical dishes of the region (maccheroni alla chitarra, lamb, grilled vegetables, etc) are served. The restaurant is beautifully situated with a view of the mountains, the outdoor patio cool and spacious. The service is charming, the pacing of the meal perfect, and every dish is cooked with local ingredients and impeccable taste. After having had our first meal there, we were back within two days for a second meal. Beautiful location, exceptional staff and delicious and traditional food.
They take care of every single detail, offering an amazing product; all the ingredients are typical and regional, it’s possibile to find handmade pasta everyday.
Their roasted lamb is highly recommended! I’ve personally never had a better one anywhere else!

I like the location,decor,atmosphere and friendly staff in this restaurant.
We had not come to eat here for a while so tried Sunday lunch with friends.The vegetarian antipasti was lovely.
We followed by pasta dishes.Would recommend not having the creamy pasta as it was a bit rich.The mushroom,tartufo pasta was lovely.

We were looking for this restaurant and it didn't disappoint! What great service and the food was absolutely amazing. We had three courses and each one was delicious!! ~ We drank their own wine, which was great. The setting was beautiful and the view breathtaking. The waiter, fortunately for us, was learning to be an english translator, although we did try to speak a little Italian. Would definitely recommend! Thank you.

Sat outside in the gazebo overlooking the gardens. Wonderful atmosphere. Traditional abruzzo food cooked to perfection, the arristocini was excellent. The owners were great host, we were surrounded by many local families enjoying a great dinner on a beautiful Sunday evening in July .

We went with some friends on a Saturday lunchtime and we were amazed how busy it was. We all had homemade pasta to start off with then meat for main course. Everything was excellent and good sized portions, There was a good atmosphere and the owners were very welcoming. Can definitely recommend it. In the summer you can eat outside.
