Only dropped in for a coffee and was pleasantly surprised. I would have to rate the coffee I had as the best cappuccino I have had for sometime within NZ and beyond. Must be the rich abundant chocolate they use! The placed was busy while we were there although sitting outside is an option if you are dressed for it.

Outdoor seating with lovely views. Very popular, so be prepared to wait for your order. We waited 20 minutes for our coffee but they did tell us it would be a 20 minute wait, which we appreciated.Staff were lovely.

This is a really nice cafe. Friendly staff, beautiful decoration, delicious pastry and great coffee. The best coffee I had in New Zealand, the best cafe I visited in New Zealand.

I'd go a long way for brekkie like they do it at the GYC, which is lucky because it is a long way. But well worth it! The GYC was enormous with bacon, eggs, tomatoes, toast, mushrooms, sausage and they even made spinach taste good. All for $19. The scrambled eggs and salmon were similarly great value. The down side... More

Cant get over how fabulous this little gem of a cafe is. Salmon pizza was the greatest pizza of all time, friendly service and funky ambience. Looking forward to returning next time in NZ!

We visited late in the day and had coffee and milkshakes an there service and drinks were great. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere in this older building. The backyard was lovely in the afternoon sun with a couple of great sculptures.

They offer breakfast all day and lunch. This is a small place, but they offer additional seating outside on the back patio. The food was very good (I had a croissant w/ bacon and cheese) and the chips are big enough to share.

Very friendly staff and great good! We ate lunch, sitting outdoors, twice and enjoyed huge sandwiches on possibly the best bread I've ever tasted. They close late afternoon every day except Saturday, which is pizza night. Get there early to get a table! You can order a large pizza with half and half toppings; the salmon one was amazing

I'm in the minority I know. But I hate the taste of butter. I ordered the Grilled Haloumi but the ciabatta was buttered and the haloumi tasted of butter too even though it said 'grilled' on the menu. The staff changed my ciabatta to a plain one but I could barely eat the rest. The sausage and bacon on the... More

This place is clearly in the guide books as the "go to" place in glenorchy - as everyone visiting seems to end up there. I can see why. The bread is fantastic, the pies looked good and the huge grassy back yard is a perfect place to while away lunchtime. On the flip side, it is packed at lunchtime. We... More
