I have visited this resteraunt many times and the food has always been of the highest standard. They have a fabulous team, always friendly and welcoming, even when the place is busy they are never rushed and always make time to explain the menu, my favourite dish is the octopus, the goose barnacles but to be honest everything is tasty. A must place to try if you are in Aljezur

Great meal

I was the first diner in that night so service was quick. I ordered the grilled pork (the fattier type) with rice and salad. My, it was a huge serving! The pork strips were lightly salted and grilled to perfection. The rice had a hint of garlic and was savoury. The house wine was smooth and mellow. A great dinner!

Fabulous family run established resteraunt. Attentive service, menu explained in Portuguese and English, good selection of both food and wine. The octopus was melt in the mouth delicious as was the prawns and chocolate mousse dessert. It is a must visit place when you are in Aljezur

Awfull experience

I was waiting for an hour despite I have made a reservation in the day before. Also, I asked for fried squis because I don't eat meat and I discovered after eating it that they've cooked the dish with pork fat wich is disgusting and heathl killing! I was sick for the whole day. There's amazing restaurants in the area, this is not one of them. Actually, it's the worst. Onwers are not nice people, they are agressive and don't like critics. Runn away!

You said that you was here on September 2019? Really? Maybe it was on our day off at Mondays!! There is a difference between freedom of expression and lies. Because you start your bad comments on July 2019, saying that you was here eating the squids and from that time on, you never stop. We don't even know if you was really here. But you can prove that to competent authorities.

I come to the region of Aljezur for almost 16 years now. So I visited a lot of restaurants in the area. But it was the first time in this one and I don't regret it. The food is typical Portuguese and well prepared. We took the fresh grilled fish that comes with a salad and boiled potatoes sweet and normal. The desserts are tasty to. Friendly staff.

While on holiday in Arrifana, we decided to visit this very pleasant place, we ate some very fresh clams Bolhão Pato and a premium meat board, which left us speechless due to the superior quality of the meat and the way it was prepared. We finished with a sweet potato and almond pie that almost made us cry because it was so delicious. Without a doubt we will return.

If you’re in the area this restaurant is a must

Best food of our 9 day vacation in the Algarve. We chose the Cataplana with octopus, shrimps and sweet potatoes. Food was really of a very high standard and the fish stock was truly delicious. Quick service and the lady serving spoke English that helped us a lot. From what we saw this appears to be a family business. Traditional Portuguese food at its best. If you’re in the area go, you won’t be disappointed.

Disappointing

Friendly and helpful staff, simple and relaxed atmosphere, but the dishes we chose were disappointing. In a planted seaside village, fish and seafood should be one of the restaurant's highlights. Unfortunately, that's not what happened. As a starter, we chose an octopus salad which, despite being fresh, lacked seasoning. That vinegary flavor that octopus salad usually has wasn't there. As a main course, we opted for the monkfish, clams and prawns cataplana. The appearance was pleasant but, once again, it lacked seasoning. The potatoes and peppers were raw, the sauce had no texture or flavor. The dish actually needed to simmer for much longer, instead of being rushed to the table. The best item of the meal was, oddly enough, the fries that our son ate, which were impeccable.

A big family Great

small place. Reservation Necessary. Great simple menu and some specials of the day. The atmosphere is friendly and warm. Not a fancy dinner but a really good traditional dinner. All made in Portugal! The staff is smiling and friendly. cards are accepted and they speak English (and a little of other languages) We had lots of food and the price was incredibly reasonable! Definitely second round to try more stuff

Excellent choice

Busy place but manged to get the last table for four. The local photographs are memorable but the real winner is the food.My wife and I shared a fish stew which was exquisite . Would be very happy to go back.

Very good octopus with sweet potato dish here for dinner. Also pretty good squid (too much onion for me) Good hoise red wine. The host was very friendly. Nice family place and authentic food. Recommend!

One of our favourite places to eat in Aljezur. Great traditional food. The house wine is always fantastic and the staff are always pleasant. There are some fantastic old pictures on the walls of Aljezur. The bill is always a pleasant suprise. Highly recommend you visit here.
