Had a lovely dinner, very busy harbor side restaurant with a big menu, order the sardines, they are known for serving the best ones in La Turballe... Good local wine selection, order the Muscadet or the Cheverny, both Loire valley wines that go well with...fish and seafood. Nice and lively restaurant, only complain is 1 bathroom only for so many dinners... Except for that, a good pick.More
La Tarballe is nice marine village and was a first time to be there even l went to Brittany many times. Unfortunately, we got there after 2:00pm and we went all around the marina touring around this lovely village until we got starving. 98% of...the restaurants and other vendors who provides meals are shut or serving drinks only. Luckily, this place offered to us crepe and we accepted promptly. I think he was the only one who was serving there and dealing in, out and all about. We waited quite a long time until we got our plates. I was so tired and hungry to remember taking picture of the poor dish. A pink thin slice of salmon rounded with brown thin paper like and a quarter of lemon. Obviously, we finished our meals swiftly, had some tea and left the building. Comparing to others, this place is excellent because they are considerate to the poor tourists who might visits during the closing time.More
Had our final meal of the holiday here and 'WOW' talk about leaving the b best 'til last. They serve the most mouth watering steak and looking around at the other customers sitting close by their food looked amazing too. My daughter highly recommend the...mussels, she said they were the best she'd ever had. Couldn't fault it and all at a good price.More
Went here to celebrate a wedding anniversary last evening, having booked a few days earlier. Very friendly and welcoming staff who were as keen to use English as we were to use French. We went for a Plat de Jour priced at 21€. I had...six oysters for starters, followed by Onglet de boeuf, frites and salad. Dessert was a superb chocolate brownie. My wife had ham, melon and mozzarella for starters, followed by Monk fish for which there was a 4€ supplement. She chose the crepe de caramel for dessert. All the food was superbly cooked and served very well. We could not believe the value of the meals which were excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant but would recommend booking as it was full most of the time we were there. What was good to see that Monsieur de Patron was on hand to ensure that everything was going well and even though there were adequate waitresses/waiters he could often be seen helping to clear tables etc. Super.More
We keep a boat up the Vilaine and decided to visit the La Turballe. It was a chilly March day and we had checked out the local restaurants on trip advisor and La Passerelle had an excellent rating. We called in for lunch and had...2 course set lunch, their West Indian spiced fish and chips and dessert. An excellent meal - we would definitely go back.More
Local fishermen, tourists, residents all enjoying some autumn sun. My seafood salad was excellent and the Moules went down a treat. Very friendly and efficient service with water for the dog. Superb food and ambience
Great food, excellent service and good friendly staff. We had a variety of main courses from moules to fish of the day, steak etc. All were well presented, hot and good portion size. Prices were value for money, and the cafe gourmand was excellent! Will...return!More
Been here a number of times, food is always fresh, hot, well presented and served without delay. Excellent plat du jour and very good value.
We came in for diner and had to wait for quite a while to be served, and then for the food. We ate OK, but the fish was too dry, and the scallop salad overpriced for what it was.
We have eaten here many times over 10 years and the cooking has always tasted good and looked imaginative. There is always plenty of choice at a reasonable price. As its on the sea front the evening views and sunsets add to the experience. Some English is spoken...if needed.Service is friendly and generally rapid. They have expanded and could be twice the size soon! having apparently bought the cafe next door. The menu are pretty comprehensive and we would be surprised if you didnt find something to like here. What is available represents the freshest catch from the harbour across the road. The name La Passerelle means "The gangplank" and refers to the walkway you can see at the fish hall, opposite.More
Very good menu, price as well as quality and food as well as wine. We enjoyed the sole meuniere and the parfait.
We were staying in La Turballe and decided to go out for a meal. As we approached La Passerelle we thought how nice the restaurant looked. We were greeted by the manager who translated the menu for us. We ordered our meal I had the...Salmon with mushrooms and rice, my husband had the Pork and rice, the meal was superb. This was a nice friendly restaurant with excellent food. Thank youMore
Beautifully grilled and lightly salted - La Turbale specialty. Excellent value for a great meal at the seaside. Served with baked potato and a salad too. Wait staff is perfect and lovely atmosphere. Have eaten here twice already during our stay and will go back...a third time. When you find a great thing - why not?!More
Great service, wonderfully fresh food and all at a very reasonable price. The staff couldn't of been better. Fresh oysters, fantastic cod and chorizo - this place is definitely worth a visit
