We enjoyed our lunch at Plume restaurant. The staff were pleasant, sitting in the conservatory was nice and warm as it was a cold windy day. The outlook was amazing on to a well manicured garden and rural view. My dish the lamb cutlets were...plated as a work of art as well it was delicious. My partners Fish curry was the best he has ever had. I recommend the restaurant.More

Various members of our family have enjoyed Plume Restaurant so my wife and I thought it was time we tried it out. We were not disappointed....more like delighted! This family run restaurant is very well organised and is rightly held in high esteem by locals....The reservation was easy and communication excellent. The destination is well signposted, parking , reception and bathroom facilities clean and well laid out. Staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who clearly takes a hands on role and great pride in maintaining the excellence of the establishment and this seems well reflected in the attitude of her staff. Our "Tasting Menu" was well thought out, combining a wide range of ingredients with a great balance of flavours. Although fairly busy, service is very good and you feel that you are discreetly being attended to in terms of your pace of enjoyment - basically, each course is readily made available when you are. Looking around other guests, this was typical of the quality of service received. The choice and quality of their own "Duck Runner" wines is excellent and there is an opportunity for a pre-lunch wine tasting if you wish. Wine Paddles are also available to complement each course, although a wide range of high end European wines are also available. We opted for a combination of their own vintages and were very happy with this option. The restaurant environment is delightful, with indoor and covered outdoor tables available overlooking well tended gardens and wider countryside views. In every respect this was a quality experience and we would definitely like to return in the near future.More

Even though our booking was not noted as outdoor table staff attended to and we were seated in our complete satisfaction and the meal lived up to expectations. We were booked for 3 persons, my son from Australia arriving and the one place even if...he could only come for the weekend was to drive up to Plume, his favourite We chose and shared 3 mains and extra plates were provided. Wine was great and generous pour. . Could not fault the service, food , wine and setting. A beautiful fine day helped.More

We had a superb lunch here the other day - quite unexpectedly! We were very early, partly as this was not exactly planned! However, we were welcomed warmly and seated out on the veranda over looking the lovely well maintained garden. Our lovely waitress produced...the local wines in a timely manner, orders were taken, and we settled into this lovely atmosphere for what turned out to be an amazing lunch. I had the curried fish - which was the best curried fish I have ever had in my life (and I have had a few!), my husband had chicken, which again was the tastiest he has had in a while ! The service was perfect, the food perfection, and the overall experience was faultless. We will definitely be returning here - it is only just off the main road so there are no excuses for not coming here! Thanks for having us!More
