Spend Birthday Lunch Here. ☺️ Well, we (me, my mom and my twin) spend birthday lunch here. We invite some friends to come and eat with us. The place was CROWDED, we reserve for around 13:00 PM and it’s packed with people. So my advice is to call and book a table first before you came here. The service was so so, the waitress was too busy to take care of their guest personally. They also gonna charge you if you brought cake/ food from outside (my friend bought me a cake for me since it’s my birthday). food was good, and price was worthy. I like their kombucha, overall, the food did’t leave much impression on me. But I think when it’s less crowded and not in the peak season, this place’s ambience is great. ✨

A very busy and popular restaurant in Canggu for the best of reasons: comfortable setting indoors and out overlooking a rice field, excellent service, and very creative dishes well-prepared and tasty. My only gripe us that at this restaurant, as at so many in Bali, tapas simply means appetizer-sized portion. The appetizers were great ... but not tapas!

Lovely place good service

We choose this place because the view looks cosy in the pictures and indeed it was a lovely place with greenery all around. We celebrated my mom friend’s bday and the female staff that serves us sing a bday song which was a lovely gesture from her. I had to tipped her for her thoughtfullness as my mom friend was happy about it. Food wise it was good and love the toasted bread which i ordered extra on the side. Nothing to fault and definetly will be back again.

Second visit and a little disappointing.

We have been here before and really enjoyed it. However, whether due to the reduced clientele due to COVID 19 or whatever, the place seemed to have backed off a little. We were quickly seated and the tables have been separated to help reduce contact which is good. The orders were taken although there was some issues with us asking for three separate bills on one table (two is OK - so we offered to move one group to a nearby table...it was resolved quickly). Food came at random intervals so some of us had finished before the other's main course had arrived. It's a reasonably professional place, this should not be an issue. I had Chili Basil Chicken - despite me asking for it to be hot (spicy) it was relatively bland. My wife had Tom Yum with extra udang/prawns - it was largely tasteless and definitely had no kick. The other meals were no better. It's a shame because it's a great place and has been known to be excellent. Maybe it will pick up again when things improve. In the mean time we'll give it a while before we head back.

Ok the place is cool nice outlook. BUT! Waiters absolutely unprofessional, The plates, including starters are really huge, tasteless, low quality! So under expectations respect to others of same rate. Keep away. Trust me

Not what is used to be

We come here very often too often but I believe that this will be our last. We always come for breakfast, but this time for some lunch. It wasnt quite busy but no one came to give us a menu. We had asked several times for the menu. Finally it arrived. We ordered some mac and cheese for the kids,soto ayam and nasi campur. When it arrived we were not given any forks or knives and we had to wait for them again. Nasi campur was lousy, so small for the price when anywhere else, you can get and it's so big Soto ayam had more been sprouts than a whole market. Kids did not eat the mac and cheese. Honestly this place is not like it used to be. Tooo many people around taking photos We were completely ignored so for sure this place I wont ever be returning.

Very bad service

My girlfriend ordered a mdium steak but was served rare. So i ate it her steak and we order a new steak medium again. It come rare again so we tell them we need it medium. They cook the same steak again. It comes back still rare also same cold fries and vegetables, so we tell them again we want medium. Than it comes back again the same steak and fries and vegetables, and still not medium. It was really bad. If someone complain you make a new dish you dont just warm up the same.

Could be perfect, BUT...

It was my first visit, and the food was amazing. Very delicious coffee. I went there to work on my thesis, so I stayed there for at least 5-6 hours. They only give water if you order coffee - this was very confusing to me. I stayed there whole day, spent more than 200k rupiah, and I would probably go there everyday, if they wasn’t so greedy on water. They told me that you can only get a glass of water if you order coffee, which I did... twice, and they refused to refill water for me. Normally, the first thing you are offered in restaurants is a glass of water, but this is not the case here. Could be perfect, BUT they should reconsider their “water” policy. Not going back again.

Beautiful restaurant but looks can only take it so far. At first we ordered their Aperol Spritz special, completely watered down. We then ordered an expensive bottle of Sauvignon Blanc wine and as the waiter opened the bottle, it made a sound similar to champagne. We then tasted the wine and it was clearly “off” as it had a fizzy taste. We told the waiter we cannot drink this. The manager came over and told us we don’t know what we are talking about and said it was non negotiable, we had to pay. I strongly recommend staying away from white wine that you are unable to get a sample taste of before ordering. You will most likely be very disappointed.

Eventhough their salad was great, I'm not coming back

I was arrived. No welcoming from them like other restaurant. And didn't give the menu until I asked. Didn't show me the way until I asked. Do they only welcoming foreigner here? I don't get it why. Since they didn't really show a table for me. I sit at a paddy field view. And a server came and told me "this is for 4 persons". Meanwhile I saw foreigner sit at the same kind of table, and there was only 2 of them. Like I said. Bad service

Crowded, But Good Food

I ate here several times in Milu By Nook as I heard a lot of good things about the place. When I first came in, the staff were very friendly, professional but welcoming. We were put in a table in front of the rice fields which was very enjoyable and felt very comfortable. Although the place is quite crowded, the food we ordered were very good and the portions were just enough. I would definitely come back sometimes!

Nice view and place but not with the staff

Today (2/8 5pm), we visit this place, and the staff not welcome and serve us very well, and the last after we paid the bill, he just throw my card on the table without say thank you, very disappointed. He didn’t have good enough hospitality. Please respect local customers.

To stars for the view and the menu.. normally its not Worth complaining here in indonesia.. its like talking to a Wall. Ppl dont know How to and why to Care Hihi but this restaurant managed to screw up in everything in a Way that i found it really really impressive! It was super obvious that the Staff was super overloaded and not trained enough so the restaurant Owner is the Owner of these two stars 🤗

Milu By Nook: rice fields in Canggu

Good ambiance and open space concept. Not good for long working sit-ins. Very limited charging spots. It’s also difficult to get the attention of servers if you choose to sit near the padi fields.

Good ambience and delicious food.

We really loved the design and atmosphere of the place, very similar to the other Nook. Was crowded when we were there. If you want to get a table outside, better go when it’s quieter or book it in advance, otherwise you have to settle to sit inside. The food was really tasty.
