The power of Matcha finally in Bali! Are you ready for the green revolution? Matcha Cafe Bali is a neighborhood cafe serving up a line of organic matcha green tea beverages, specialty Indonesian coffee freshly roasted in Bali, a seasonal and healthy food menu that includes many vegan, gluten-free and refined sugar free options. The cafe is open from 7:30am to 7pm serving all-day breakfasts, brunch and lunch. We are your go-to place before or after your yoga practice, for your post-workout cravings (crossfit anyone?) or after a session of good surf at Berawa Beach. Our goal is to share our passion for matcha following the principles of simplicity and quality. We believe that by using simple, quality local and organic ingredients we can create a premium experience for our customers to enjoy on a daily basis.

Best Vegan Cafe in Canggu

I recommend this Vegan Cafe in Canggu. The place is very cozy in front of Canggu’s main street. The staff are very nice and friendly. The food is very delicious (I recommend you the Chicken Burger, Matcha Watermelon Cooler and Matcha Soft Ice Cream). I never liked Matcha Ice Cream before but in here it taste very good (combination of milk and matcha). I will definitely coming back again soon!

Great Outdoor areas, pet friendly and good menu

Arrived with some of my colleagues for lunch time. We did not order lunch menu but 2 Spinach Bacon Omelets, KETO Cheese cake, Matcha Latte Iced, Latte and Ice Cream .Great bread, great omelets (too bad for Indonesian we needs to have chili sauce which it was not available), great cheese cake. Staff are friendly and efficient. I am good to return to the restaurant. Price could have been better though.

Menu better than reality

The menu looks so good but the reality of what is served to you is nowhere near as good. The portions are small so you need to order 2 breakfasts. Staff were so inefficient and the 6 of us waited for our drinks 5 mins apart and then our food the same, which meant the last person was served her food way after everyone else has finished theirs. Staff weren't particularly friendly either. Would not recommend or return here.

Cute cafe in Berawa. Try the amazing Matcha latte with coconut milk. Owner is Italian so the coffee is really good!!!!!!!!! Really great spot for breakfast.

Friendly service and great choice of food for vegan and gluten free

Lovely little cafe with great gluten free options! The coffee is good and the food is super tasty and really good value for money. I had a huge coffee, gluten free toast and a huge omelette for less than £5. Glad it’s around the corner from where I’m staying as I’ll be visiting again!

Worse cafe I’ve been in Canggu

One of the worse cafe in Canggu I’ve ever been, I took a pineapple juice and it was just yellow water no taste at all, and a Nutella Pancake, if you put Nutella on the menu you should put Nutella also on the pancake not normal chocolate. My girlfriend took a Cappuccino and it was a coffee with some water added.. never again

Dear Filippo, We are very sad to read your review, but we do also understand that a real healthy menu is not for everybody. That’s ok, but since you went public and offended our business, please allow us to reply to your comments: 1. On our menu is clearly written “House-made vegan nutella”, if you cannot read it’s not our fault!! And everybody know we are a healthy cafe, do you really think we would serve real nutella?! Ours is made from pure dark chocolate, coconut oil and hazelnuts, no added sugar. Real nutella is not vegan as it contains milk powder and our pancakes are vegan. 2. Our fresh juices are made from local and mostly organic fruit and veggies. Why didn’t you ask to our staff to have it without ice like other customers do? Our waitresses are very nice and they’re there to help. 3. You don’t like our coffee? I’m sorry, but that’s also totally fine if it’s not for your taste. But don’t say it’s watery please because that’s a lie. 4. You forgot to mention that you also had our protein pancakes, the plate was empty so I guess at least that was edible.. Funny you didn’t say anything about that one! Maybe you just had a bad morning and I’m glad you didn’t come during peak hours as we have beautiful positive vibes from our guests on a daily basis. You could have ruined that, so thank you. I hope you’ll be more careful with your next reviews, maybe try to be more kind towards people who work very hard everyday in order to give good service and smiles to their customers. And if something is wrong, talk to the staff or ask for the manager. They are there to assist you. Finally we do respect everyone’s opinion like we do with yours, but we think it is very arrogant and not fair at all. We love you anyway so thank you for your visit. Ps. In the title you should write “Worst cafe..” not “Worse cafe..” (Worse is used to compare two things). We get why you did not understand our nutella.. Read the menu or ask the staff!!

Cute but small in noisy area

Place is cute but very small and right in front of the street so there’s SO MUCH noise from the motorbikes and cars that are constantly passing by, we were planning to work there but couldn’t stay long. Also quite hot since it’s all opened up. Ordered a matcha iced coffee latte but don’t recommend it, not a good combination of ingredients. There’s potential to the place, but unfortunately just not pleasant to stay with so much street noise and pollution

Dear soldelcarlo, thank you for leaving your review. To be fair though you left positive reviews to other places also directly on main streets, what exactly is your judging criteria? Also you tried only one drink and you give a two-star review??? Ok you might not like it (believe it or not many other people do like that drink :), so that's enough to just go on trip advisor and leave a bad review to people who work hard to make the cafe nice, healthy and with good Bali vibes? Very impressive, I hope people will not take your review so seriously. We do love everyone though and we thank you again for visiting our cafe. Hopefully we'll do better for you another time.

Every dish on the menu is mixed with Matcha it's amazing. Cappucinos are amazing and strawberries shakes. Highly recommend the matcha pancakes. Also found it via the Entertainment Book.

There are a few items not with added Matcha. None the less, despite usual street front. Nice views to rear, pretty interior decorations. Has simple toilet. Prices include tax and tips. Lovely if sweet food. We. Could not finish all of ours.

My Favourite brunch café

My Husband and I stopped in for brunch, mainly because I like matcha 😁 but I was so surprised and happy find that there was actual Matcha in all my meal!!! I ordered the Mushroom Gnocchi and I blew my mind!! It was so delicious and I have been back multiple time just to get that dish. I also had the Matcha Lemon Cheesecake and it was also incredible. The staff were amazing and my husband really enjoyed his meal as well. Sorry these were the only pictures I took because I was to busy eating 😋

Loved this place!!

We arrived In Canggu today and were lucky enough to come across matcha cafe for our first meal in Canggu. Matcha cafe has a great vibe with cool, open air, relaxed interior. Our food was super healthy , presented beautifully and tasted delicious. The COFFEE was the BEST we have had in Bali. We shared two desserts the matcha cheese cake and the brownie, I highly recommend trying these. They were soooooo good! We will definitely be back....... tomorrow and the next day....... and every day we are in Canggu.

They have so many yummy options. Perfect stop on your way too and from the beach. The ingredients are high quality and it’s genuine healthy stuff not cooked with any bad oils! Check it out for sure
