This restaurant is have a green mountain view ,, sometimes the fog down adds to the atmosphere getting colder and refreshing

The best Poffertjes...

We stop by for lunch, and order one of menu that recomend is Poffertjest with hot tea. Perfect with puncak weather. Good to eat when still warm, the sugar will melted.

Still majestic but service and food quality need some upgrade

The restaurant is still a must to visit if you are in Puncak but I'm afraid the myth is fading since the service and food quality definitely need some upgrading to do. We sat for 10 minutes without any waiter came to see until we took the menu our self. Once we were ready to order the waiters were just ignoring us until we shout - I remember there was one waiter who looked at us but didn't even come to our table. The food came and taste were flat - even my kids didnt enjoy a simple hot milk. When we were about to pay, once again although we called the waiter for the bill, however the bill didn't come and I was forced just to put the amount of money equivalent to what we consume on the table.

Went here for breakfast with a view. Ordered some coffee, the famous poffertjes and other small bites. Not 10 minutes after we finished our food, the waiter came with the bill, even though we never asked for it, signaling for us to leave the table maybe? Overall a very unsatisfying experience

Wonderful scenery, great ambience, fresh air. Hideout from traffic jam

Perfect place for weekend getaway. The food are delicious (expensive tho!) and beautifully presented on the table. If you're looking for mountain scenery in Puncak, this restaurant provide the view looking down tea garden, pine trees, fog, and traffic below. Complete it with warm zuppa soup, sweet Poffertjes, and a cup of hot tea served with a piece of ginger bread. Perfect! Budget around 100K-200K/pax for lunch.

Go for the view

This is a legendary restaurant located on the peak with amazing views. The original cafe sadly burned down about 7 months ago but they have set up a new one next to it. Dutch pancakes and poffertjes used to be good but quality has declined. Had the bubur ayam and it was just ok. Service has improved though. The view is still worth a visit, even if only for coffee.

Worse and worse ever food I've ever had

We ordered spaghetti carbonara, macaroni gratin, bakmi Jawa, half-boiled eggs, and poffertjes. All foods came into our taste were bland and wrongly cooked. Its Spaghetti carbonara not creamy, half-boiled eggs still raw, the macaroni lack of flavors and cream. If one just wanna enjoy the view then this place is perfect but if you wanna have real food, there are better places. Even street food is way much better than this restaurant. Just wondering what kind of chef cannot boil eggs. 😰

We have to stop somewhere to avoid road closure in Puncak during lunch time, and we decide to go here, because it is recommended in some websites, unfortunately the food come so late, we have to wait around 20 minutes for our food. The waiter, my husband saw one of them is eating at their station while serving the guest, not even bother to hide it. The place is old already, the food not as great as told. When i ask about Musholla in raining time, they don't inform me about the access to the Musholla is through outdoor area.

Expensive and not delicious at all

Went there with guests, it was very dissapointed. We ordered fried rice, oxtail soup, and satay. Satay was too sweet. Oxtail barely can be eaten. The only better one is the fried rice. The bill is another nightmare. Expensive and not worth it. Will never back. Though they offer a very nice view, i would rather choose another place to see puncak view.

Poor Service

I had dinner yesterday. The staff are arogant. We waited long time for the food. The Steak has horrible taste and the spagetty was standar like cheap restaurant. Their famous poffertjes and dessert has weird taste. We visited this place (molinary and cemara cafe) regularly, they usually have nice tastes for their poffertjes and others dessert but for yesterday, ALL THE FOOD ARE HORRIBLE and EXPENSIVE. Fortunately, the view are excellent as always.

It's more than just Pofferertjes

During the weekends you will encounter some automobile clubs that perform gathering here. To visit the place you have to reach the exit toll Ciawi 5:30 am at the latest, In order to avoid congestion on the way to Puncak. If not then you should be forced to wait until the schedule setting traffic to and from the Puncak.

Not as good as it was

We have breakfast at the restaurant last Friday (June 26). I insisted my wife to go there and convinced her that this restaurant has a very good quality of foods and beverages amongst all in Puncak area. Well, I think I'm just too sentimental because I used to visit this restaurant when I was a child with my family. We ordered Indonesian and American breakfast. And we were quite disappointed with the presentations and the tastes. I think they need to upgrade their knowledge about how to mix and match the food presentations and quality. Too bad for such a legendary restaurant in Puncak. Lucky for us we still have the joy when we tasted the pofertjes. It's still as good as it was. Sorry to say but if the restaurant cannot make any improvements in the future, it might loose all the loyal customers even though the scenery and the atmosphere there is so fantastic.

Nothing Great On F&B

Great view - lousy food, mediocre service.

It hasn't changed since I have been there the first time 30 years ago - the view and altimeter of the location is the attraction. And they don't have serious competitors in the area. If you are hungry eat a bit, don't expect anything special, drink whatever you like. Don't be disappointed by the stiff waiters. Just take it as what it is: a colonial left over which has not found out that times have changed. Look at is as a museum. And move on.

overpriced, but it has the best pancake i've ever tasted

It is kinda overpriced in my opinion. The decoration of the restaurant is actually cozy and comfy, the only problem was the food which was so-so but can be priced for almost 200k rupiah. But i can recommend the banana cheese pancake (ard 30k). It is the best one, i always come here when i go to Puncak only for the pancake. :D oh and the hotel also offers green view which is also great.
