We ate at Due Spades new restaurant location last week and we had a wonderful evening. The new settings is elegant and conveniently located. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was incredible. Really delicious, high quality dishes cooked perfectly. We ate the...egg and mushroom started followed by the tuna steak, both were extremely tasty. And the finish, the highlight of the meal, the cheese board, with a huge selection of local Italian cheese to choose from! We can't wait to come back soon.More
The entry to the restaurant is literally invisible. The mini restaurant sign is behind a some green. Entering this industrial style building gives you an impression of what you can expect. Friendly and warm environment. We took the Menu Degustazione and it was outstanding. FIsh...tartar, an unbelievable tastx onion cake with truffels, pasta with a peppery hot sauce, tuna steak at its best, vitello tonnate, cheese and desert. All of the different things were prepared with a clear focus on the product. You could call it a pure kitche but the best way to experience it is to just go there. Staff was very friendly, helpfull and created a relaxed atmosphere. The wine list has a lot of great bottles to offer for a really fair price ( 25 - 50 € on average for a bottle). If you have no other reason to travel to Cernusco - this reason is more than valid. Thank you team Due Spade for making this an unforgettable dinner.More
Excellent Italian kitchen, fantastic wines, desserts and outstanding services. Very innovative, interesting menu and affordable prices. Stylish interior design and table services. I can highly recommend it.
We joined a group of friends and colleagues for dinner. The service and food were superb. The chef prepared proportions just right given the amount of courses we ate for the evening. Particularly good but the goat's cheese and pear. Worth another visit.
We were three, each wanted the Tuna- one was OK with 'normal', meaning just seared, one wanted it medium and me I wanted it well done. They got each right, it was delicious. We each had different desserts and they too were well presented and...tasted great. Nice atmosphere, great service.More
Excellent food, good wines and good service. I had the fixed menu and an bottle of wine recomende by the waiter. The wine was also very good. Absolutely recommended.
Amazing authentic Italian food. Just outside Milan in a quite suburb. Restaurant is located in a converted building with a tall chimney stack (you can't miss it). Very spacious and awesome staff. The Chef Christian is amazing. Very talented. We tasted a myriad variety of...food and everyone of them was top notched. Everything is freshly made even the ice cream. I would recommend you try almost anything from the menu. You won't be disappointed. My children who are picky eaters even enjoyed the specially made pasta with olive oil. We left the restaurant hungry for more. For a great Italian food experience, I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant.More
I first started going to this area on business around 6 years ago and every time I go to nearby Gorgonzola, I have dinner at this restaurant. The brothers who run this restaurant are 1st class in their service, attentiveness and the dishes are always...first class in my opinion. I am fortunate to be able to travel all over the world and this is without doubt my favourite eating establishment. The menus are changed on a regular basis and have a remarkable choice for all kinds of food. They have a 9 course taster menu which at €45 is outstanding value!! Their selection of wines is remarkable as is their selection of whiskies, Rums, Brandy, Grappa and gins. I will continue to use this restaurant every time I am near and during the Christmas period their Panettone is the best I have ever had!More
Been here twice and on both occasions come away very satisfied with excellent quality food both in terms of presentation and taste. On this visit I went for the Goats Cheese Parcels and Apple preserve followed by the Sicilian Tuna. Service was attentive but not...obtrusive. Definitely one to put on the approved list.More
More over a kind service, you get quality food, well prepared and presented, with fresh ingredients accompanied by a wide variety of fine wines. The location is peculiar and there's a parking just outside the restaurant. From the outside, you can recognize the place by...the tall chimney of the spinning mill. The best place to go if for some reason you are in Cernusco...More
Nice interiors but food quality is not that good. Service is ok - nice people. Surrounding is particular, since got from the old spinning.mill. At the end of the day you get a fair lunch but the bill is expensive. I wouldn't recommend that honestly.
I liked all about it. It is just around from the Old Market place in Cernusco. Looks like old bakery house. Food is just perfect. I tried branzino, carpaccio and pannacotta with safran. Plus Pinot Nero wine made perfect dinner.
I went for a dinner to this restaurant because it was convenient to spend a night on that side of Milan for the next day travel towards Parma, Modena etc. That's to underline the fact that it was not really a place I was dreamed...of coming to. But in any case I expected a fair cuisine and the result was somewhat different. They do try to be good and modern regarding the preparations, - that's for sure. What you get though in your plate is a mix of maybe good idea and so-so performance. For instance, their onion tortino with black truffle was a combination of more or less tasty onion with absolutely neutral thick slices of truffle. Seriously, the truffle didn't smell at all. Just that single fact can be extremely discouraging, don't you think? Why to use a dead ingredient?.. Other dishes were (let's say) Ok, but again you could feel an attempt for a refined cuisine that resulted with rather bland dishes. There were quite a lot of local people that should have been a good sign, but I guess they were there for a romantic atmosphere rather than a good food. No reason for detour, really.More
