Made a trip to Havelock from Blenheim to visit The Mussel Pot. First customers at opening time. We were given the rundown on wearing masks when moving around the restaurant. Sat down at our table and removed my mask. The waiter shouted at me for...removing my mask before drinking or eating. We decided we wouldn't stay. He commented that he had water for us so now it was ok to removed our masks. Ridiculous service and made to feel very unwelcome. Changed lunch venue to the Captains Daughter best service and amazing mussels dishes. Very welcoming.More

Don’t go through Havelock without stopping here for a meal! Delicious mussels done multiple ways. I had steamed and my husband had grilled - both super tasty - with homemade bread to soak up the sauce.

We went to Havelock for tasty mussels, and we got exactly that!. This place has a great outdoor area to eat in. A good choice of food, and selection of different mussel dishes, with good craft beer.

Amazing food, get the sharing platter - served 2 for $50. Great value and heaps of tasty, very fresh mussels. A good idea to time your drive to make sure to get in for a lunch stop here.
