- Alison SSpringfield, Massachusetts1,042 contributionsSeveral excellent exhibitsRight across the street from Emerson's home "Bush"; ample off street parking. The museum is a manageable size with very nice pieces. Emerson's study has been moved from his house to the museum and is perfectly replicated here. Upstairs in the Revolutionary War section, there is a marvelous, full-wall diorama that lights up minute by minute to show Paul Revere's ride, the movement of the British troops, and the steady amassing of the Patriots until they had the British surrounded on their retreat to Boston - fascinating!Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 May 2024
- Andres72423Bridgeport, Connecticut5,039 contributionsHistoryA museum depicting the history of Concord from colonial times to beyond. I really enjoyed the video presentation of the Battle of Concord. The artifacts displayed were excellent. The museum had two floors of exhibits and it is well done.Visited October 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 14 October 2024
- arnottdaviesLondon, United Kingdom330 contributionsVisit here first to understand Conord and the War of IndependenceA really well presented and clear museum that puts the history of Concord and in particular the period around the war of independence in context. Ifyou are 'doing' Concord and the area this would be a great place to start and spend about 90 minutes. Pity they didn't have coffee but the staff and volunteers were otherwise very helpful.Visited November 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 8 December 2024
- NoraatcSudbury, Massachusetts40,636 contributionsThe place to learn about the American Revolution. We live in the neighboring town and, to our shame, have never visited this wonderful museum before. We frequently walk on the Battle Road Trail but never had any time left for the museum. If you are a history buff and want to learn more about the first battle of the American Revolution, don’t miss such a great history lesson. You will learn about Paul Revere and his brave militia, see their weapons, trace the route of reinforcements on the interactive map, admire beautifully restored interiors of the Concord houses, etc. If you are a NARM member, the admission is free.Visited November 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 December 2024
