Great park, clean and fun. Very slow lines for no reason
It's a nice park, very clean and not overly-crowded. However, Management needs to figure out how to speed things up. I can't even imagine how slow everything moves on a weekend. There is a section of 7 slides for the little kids. For some reason, the attendant was only taking ONE child at a time and he let them take forever to choose which slide they want. So, it took 3 to 4 minutes PER PERSON! Seven slides!! 4 minutes!! Makes no sense at all. The same situation existed on the adult rides. There would be 3 slides but only one attendant. He would waste time with one group for whatever reason, and everyone else needs to wait for him to come and say "ok, go". Meanwhile, there are traffic lights which do the same job! Green means GO, right??

    Too many rides not working
The waterpark building is amazing. The glass dome with views on Manhattan is surreal. The change rooms were clean and despite being a holiday, it never felt crowded. Sadly many of the rides were not working which was a disappointment especially after lining up for them. Fortunately, the candy store in the attached mall made my kids forget about the broken rides so everything turned out.

    Good experience.
Nice park- on the pricey side, torn between this one and Great Wolf Lodge. It was a smooth entrance even with a line. Ride lines took a little longer than expected. The attendants were not as friendly- maybe they were tired, not sure but no great hospitality. Digital lockers, food options outside of park and you are allowed to enter and leave at will.

A great time for the family
We had a great experience here. We came on a Friday and it wasn’t too crowded. We rented a skybox suite and that was worth every penny. It allowed us to skip past about 100 people in line at opening. They also give you unlimited beverages and snacks. Space to change and a table to eat. You also get a concierge and they deliver food right to you. The wave pool and lazy river were great - there was a good range of rides for small kids to big kids. My oldest did the tall tall slide and said it was great. The only reason I give it a 4 is because of the rides not running and the heat. It was about 90 degrees on the skybox. If that was cooler it would have been a five star day. If you don’t mind the heat it probably wouldn’t be a big deal. Staff was amazing here. Parking is $5 for the day. All in all a great trip.

    Not clean and overcrowded
This was my second trip to the waterpark. The first time was in the fall, it was crowded even off season and pretty disgusting. The bathrooms were in terrible shape with no toilet paper and puddles all over the floor. I had never planned to go back, but this time I had to go to a children’s birthday party. Nothing has changed much. They really don’t take great care of the place. The water feels almost sticky. And it’s grossly overcrowded. Lazy river is anything but relaxing and you will cruise past platforms filled with clumps of hair and even a crushed beer can today. Seems to attract the kind of crowd that loves to cut lines and knock into you. The place is like a zoo. I will throw in a few stars for having a couple of pleasant waterslides in the New York area.
Hello JayPee02, Thank you for providing your feedback. We regret to learn about your recent experience at our waterpark. Cleanliness and guest satisfaction are our top priorities, and your concerns will be communicated to our team for immediate action and improvement. Your insights are invaluable to us. Crazy Disorganized Mess
Took my two boys (as a solo parent) and was endlessly frustrated. During our first 2-3 hours, nearly all the rides for kids under 48" were randomly closed. There were long lines for no reason on all popular rides. Staff was completely checked out at nearly every ride - lazy river had no lifeguards, most lines were barely even organized, customer service was non-existent. For no reason, the Kung Fu slide area was closed a major part of why I wanted to go for my one child under 48"). Randomly, the big slides (Shrek, Donkey) would just stop running and the lines would queue for miles Wave pool was fine, the rides were great if you got on them. Don't go unless you want to be frustrated.
Hello David, We would like to first that we greatly appreciate your feedback regarding the park. Rides go down throughout the day for the safety of our staff and guests. Fun for Children
This is my second year here. The kids seem to have fun. Unfortunately, I recommend getting there at opening so you can rush in and grab a seat so the whole family can sit together. Everyone, including myself, grabs a seat and puts their stuff there for the duration of their stay/visit at the water park. Make sure to hang a towel on the back of the chair or leave an article of clothing on the seat. We were a group of four. I mistakenly forgot to put my towel back on my chair, and we found it occupied with a bunch of stuff when we got back from grabbing lunch. It says no outside food/drink but I saw plenty of people with food. Bring a small soft sided cooler in a Reusable bag and you should be good. I thought the cheeseburger was good. I got it both years I visited. My sister said the chicken tender sandwich was okay. French fries were nice and HOT! I love the lazy river. I went around 3 or 4x. The wave pool is nice. It fits a lot of people. I did see some clumps of hair floating around later in the day. Kind of gross. For small children, under 48 inches, activities become limited. There is a section with slides just for them which I was happy about. Not the parks fault, but people do not like to say excuse me and also save spots in lines for families. Over all it's a nice little trip. It's not spectacular, but it's about the kids. There are 3 changing rooms. One for Women, one for Men and one labeled Family. Both years the Women's locker/changing room had grown men inside when there is a locker room for men and one for family.
Hello Eileen, Thank you for taking time to rate us after your visit. Your feedback is valuable to us as we strive to improve our guest experience. We take your concerns seriously and work towards ensuring better organization and efficiency in our park. We’re glad to hear that your kids had fun and that you enjoyed the lazy river and wave pool. We appreciate your understanding regarding the park policies and will review our guidelines to ensure consistency. We hope to welcome you and your family back for another visit soon. Best regards, Amelia

    Rude Lifeguards
The park itself was great. Some of the life guards on duty were not pleasant. One in particular, was rude. My child had be riding the same ride all day with multiple lifeguards checking his height. Towards the end of the day, young female guard stopped my husband from approaching to slide area even before he got to her and told him he was too short. I was standing toward the back and began to approach, she started to wag her finger stating “he’s too small I don’t care what other life guards have been doing”. I explained that multiple life guards checked his height and he was taller than the height on the board. She stated she didn’t care. At this point, I’m upset and walk away to grab a manager. One arrives and talks to my husband before I get there. He checks my son’s height who is two inches taller than the mark I might add and lets him on the ride. Even if she thought he was too small there is still a way to speak to and treat people.

    Disappointed
I attended the park yesterday with my family of 5 and was very disappointed at the fact that many rides and the lazy river were closed/shut down and we were not made aware of it up until our arrival. We were told that the lazy river and some rides would open before the park closes and after maintenance but they never did. It’s not fair to spend over $350 and not be able to enjoy nearly half of the park and the best sections/rides. It’s not the first time that this occurs to us and yet we decided to give it another try since our kids are bigger and thought they would be able to enjoy more and get a better experience but we will not be returning again.
Hello Meleydi, Thank you for taking time to write us this review. We understand that it’s incredibly frustrating to find out that key attractions are closed, especially when you’ve spent money and made plans around those activities. Rides and attractions go down for the safety of our guests and staff. We strive to ensure our guest are happy AND safe. Please reach out to us at guestservices@americandream.com so that we can speak with you about your experience. -Paul

So many rides were shut down. The rides that were open were not disappointing. Tickets should have been discounted.
We were super excited to ride the water coaster and look at the sites around the lazy river and both were closed down. The Shrek, Donkey and Dragon raft slides kept malfunctioning with the belt lift and at the fourth from the top step we waited 50 minutes to get on. The surfing experience is gone, my daughter really wanted to do this. It is still pretty awesome to be in a mall and the rides were not disappointing, but it would have been nice to know rides were closed and tickets should be discounted.
Hello Jennifer, We are sorry that you are disappointed but we appreciate your feedback. We are committed to providing you a great experience and hope you give us another chance. Kindly please reach out to Hello Jennifer, and we will be able to help you. -Paul
