My husband and I are boat owners and fish out of OCNJ for the past 30+ years. We came to Islamorada to fish a full day back country through the Everglades for a new experience; catch some fish new to us and see some cool wildlife. Friends referred us to Bud and Mary’s and after chatting with us for a bit, Chrissy paired us with Capt Bill Bassett saying that it would be a great fit, and she was right. Capt Bill is a master of his craft, knows where to fish, how to catch and cater to his clients. We caught snook, bonefish, sea trout, a bunch of jacks and saw some crocs 😀. He’s also an entertaining conversationalist, the 8 hour trip passed in a blink. What a fantastic experience, thanks so much Captain Bill and Bud & Mary’s Marina!

We had three couples who wanted to get out on the water and fish. Capt John Johansen and Capt Ted Wilson were kind enough to take us out and we had ourselves a boys vs girls fishing trip. I have to say, both captains outdid themselves as everybody had a wonderful experience. Capt Ted took excellent care of the ladies and they caught some giant grouper, shark, and jacks. Capt John kept us on big game all day. At one point, we were tripled up with two grouper and one cobia. Somehow, Capt John managed to help us land all 3 at the same time. Cannot thank these gentlemen enough for great day of fishing. Would absolutely recommend them to anybody of any skill level looking to get on some FL Keys fishing.

Great trip on the Miss Islamorada. Captain kept us on the fish all day. We caught just under 30 fish between the three of us, nice Snappers and big Porgy’s. The mates Seth and Dawson were great!

Absolutely best fishing guide!!! Trent was extremely patient and helpful with my son. He put us on fish all day! Great guy and great guide. I would recommend him for kids, family or just die hard fishermen.

We always have a blast with the crew on this charter!! We would always love to catch more fish when we’re out there, but we caught a lot of porgies, some snapper and a hogfish that we couldn’t keep because it wasn’t in season, but it was a lot of fun to catch. Ray was great, as well as the captain when it came to, taking the fish off our hook and keeping track of them. This is something we plan on doing every time we come down! Lots of fun!!

Me and my grandson went fishing with captain Trentin in the back country on the first day. He put us on tons of fish and we had a blast then the next day we went on the gimme Jimmy I highly recommend going fishing with those two boats/people. Call the marina office to book your tripp

Mahi and yellow tail snapper fishing was freaking awesome! This is the Captain and deckhand you want. Do what Captain Dylan tells you and bring home some tasty fish. Great fun trip!!!

I decided to go fishing on the Bud and Marys Islamorada party boat! I had a great time and caught my limit of snapper! This was only $110.0 and I caught as many fish as I would spending $1000.0 and I met a lot of very nice folks from around the country! The captain was top notch and they have a very fair system of rotating folks around to the good spots.to fish. I highly recommend this boat and Captain!

Great half day reef trip this morning. Two boys 6 and 7. Wanted a fun day with plenty of action and a good crew. Found everything we were looking for!!! Captain is a family man, and extremely nice. First mate could not have been better with the kids. Not the best of water conditions but the A/c cabin was perfect for my green faced wife 😳🤣 and the boys when they needed a rest We fish a lot and can tell you that a great Capt and crew can make or break ur day Today was a great day. I’d recommend this crew!

We have been on 3 fishing trips during our vacation here in the Keys, all at different times of the day and night and on different boats. Our most recent was on the Miss Islamorada and it was by far the best trip of all. We caught way more fish, which was due 100% to the mates help and professionalism in providing a wide variety of baits and techniques and it really paid off. There are other good trips you could take if you want to pay up to 10x as much money but for an all day fun adventure this is the best! We will be back asap.
