Third biggest wheel in the world offers great views of Singapore
My wife and I did the Singapore Flyer on a cruise ship excursion in December 2023. We didn't spend much time in the various Time Capsule 'pre-show' areas as we had a tight timetable, but we had a wonderful time on the wheel itself. It's currently the third biggest wheel in the world (behind Dubai and Las Vegas) and the Flyer has 28 pods that each can carry 28 people. Our group were split over several capsules so we only had 8 per pod, which meant we had plenty of space to walk around and take photos / video of the amazing views. The wheel is located close to the Marina Bay area so you get some great views of the business district of the city. One revolution takes approximately 30 minutes, so plenty of time to take your pictures and enjoy the ride. It felt very safe. There are also capsules that offer dining / butler service...no idea how much that costs. The Flyer was a great way to get shots over the Gardens by the Bay and the Singapore skyline. Well worth doing. There's also a shop at the base of the wheel - we stopped there and picked up a magnet to take home.

Lots of fun and what a view!
We took the MRT here, get off at Promenade Station , orange or blue lines connect here.. easy walk to the Flyer from this station. We simply bought tickets here, no line ups. Took about 45 minutes to do the pre walking exhibit and the ride.. The wheel experience is a half hour and what an amazing view. Our 5 year old grand daughter loved it! Great way to see all of Singapore, the harbour, Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay . Well worth the trip here!

    Great Views
Great views from the 165m wheel. Very well presented exhibition prior to entering the capsule on the wheel itself. It was a little hot inside the capsule, with only us (a couple) and a family of 4. Possibly uncomfortable if your capsule is full.

    Views and perspectives
The flyer is a must when you visit Singapore, since it includes a history section and a good overview of the city. It’s reasonable to plan it for the start of your visit, so you get an idea what you want to do later. You get a really great view of the city and just tidbits starting from 1200s. Look out for photo taking pushers, though; I ended up falling into a tourist trap and getting a photo with a 50S$ price tag. So refuse any photo taken by someone else unless you collect that sort of memorabilia. Otherwise, it was worthwhile experience.

    Good views
Great way to see the iconic buildings. Air con capsules with seats and guide. The photographs are expensive to buy at the end (tourist attraction so unsurprising) The walk through is really nice too. Good way to spend a couple of hours. We were a big group and they got us all into one capsule. We had several kids (ranging from 12 to 2) with us who lost interest after the first 5 or so minutes of being on the observation tower, but they really liked the interactive walk through at the start.

    Great views across the bay...
Great views across the bay - seeing the gardens from above, the sands hotel and the rest of the bay. Plenty of space in each pod and well worth a visit. There is an experience as you make your way to the front if you want to go on a journey - or rush to the main event but expect a queue. Definitely worth a visit.

Singapore from a bird's eye view
It costs 40 Singapore dollars. It takes less than half an hour. There is a queue to enter. It's a bit long to wait, but the view is beautiful, the lights are right at your doorstep, Singapore is right under your feet, but it's expensive in our opinion.

    Slow rotation speed.
This morning we walked to the Ferris wheel in Singapore to try the experience of going up it, as this is the second largest wheel in the world after the one in Las Vegas. The complete revolution takes more than half an hour, as the wheel moves very slowly. The view is breathtaking; however I would have mounted it in a different part of the city with an even better view.

    Singapore Flyer
One of the places where my partner and I had an amazing time was the Singapore Flyer. This attraction is incredibly captivating, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I highly recommend everyone include it in their itinerary if they are planning a trip to Singapore.

    Worth a visit
We took a taxi straight to the Singapore Flyer and arrived right on time for opening at 10am. The ticket office opened at 9.45am. So it was still nice and empty and we were able to buy our ticket straight away and go through the entrance. The ticket automatically included a visit to the time capsule, which we didn't find all that impressive. So we went through there really quickly and then got into the Flyer's cabin - we had a cabin all to ourselves. That was great. The view was breathtaking and we could see very far. This trip was worth the money. Before entering the cabin, a photo was taken, which could be purchased in a folder for 50 S$ after the trip. You can choose the background and the photo. When we got out of the cabin, lots of tour groups arrived, we were glad to have been there so early.
