We had a great time doing the LOTR 4x4 tour with Josh. It was a great way to learn about some of the iconic shots from the films but we learned a ton about the city of Queenstown and the surrounding areas as well! It was a perfect way to get a sense for the local area and see some great sights during an enjoyable morning!

My wife is a photography nut. My daughter and I are Lord of the Rings nerds. We did the full day LoTR tour by 4x4 out of Queenstown. This trip was a home run for all of us. Jono (our guide) was knowledgeable, funny and very engaging, plus an amazing driver both on land and in the water. He took us to several familiar movie scenes, complete with props he brought, and entertained us with fascinating tidbits and hilarious stories. If you at all a fan of the movies, this is a can’t miss trip

Our tour into Skippers Canyon was fantastic. Peter our driver was very knowledgeable and was happy to accomodate requests to stop for photos. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Queenstown and wanting to see some of the surrounding area

We had a great time exploring the glorious views of Queenstown in our buggies! The guides were also very knowledgeable and friendly. Recommend packing a pair of sunnies as it gets a little dusty, but otherwise SO MUCH FUN for the entire family!

Our driver Jenny was very helpful, informative and polite. Good drive up the mountain and back again. Could not have been better. The views were incredible. Morning tea available. A great morning with beautiful weather.

Really enjoyed the 4WD experience. Driving through Skippers Canyon was spectacular. Enjoyed the stop in Arrowtown and the panning for gold. The driver Mike knows the area really well and it's history. It's was a highlight of our trip in Queenstown

Our guide Erin was a pleasure to walk with. Very knowledgable about foliage, birds. Good storyteller. Inquisitive mind. The walk itself was gently undulating. We had a gentle rain that made the track even more magical.

We had the best time with Roger leading our Lord of the Rings Tour. He was great guide giving us lots of insight into the locations for these wonderful films. We panned for gold successfully and had yummy banana bread and tea. The river crossings were spectacular. Highly recommend the tour - good value for money.

John was a fantastic 4WD tour guide. He had plenty of useful and interesting information to share with us. He focused our time on the best things to see and do. The river crossings were great fun (including sites where Lord of the Rings was filmed and panning for gold) and the scenic trip down part of Skippers Canyon Rd was fabulous. He was a safe driver who made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic operators, due to bad weather and having another tour cancelled with another operator I contacted Nomad and they responded extremely quickly and had me booked on a tour that afternoon. Our tour was a hybrid of the LOTR Queenstown and Skippers Canyon, due to weather it was slightly modified. The guide and the tour itself ventured into places I would have never discovered on my own. Loved the commentary, friendliness and humour of our guide. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for something different in Queenstown.
