Fabulous trip, small group, incredible snorkelling!
This was the most fabulous trip. Tammy and Scott are both extremely professional and lots of fun and try hard to make sure everyone gets the most out of the trip, whether you are experienced in snorkelling or a complete novice. They took us to some amazing spots, where the fish were incredible.
Helen, Thank you for this great review and the photos to share with others. We truly are lucky with where we go as nice and sheltered with great scenery to see along the way and of course the underwater scenery when we get there just fab too! The ability to please all abilities is what we thrive on, knowing that everyone will love it.... unless you have a fear of up close fish 😅😅 Thanks again for joining us and all the best. Tammy 🤿🐟🤿🐡🤿

Snorkeling tour in a small group leaves nothing to be desired
The snorkeling trip was a great experience all around. Tammy and Scott are wonderful hosts who make you feel very well looked after on the boat and in the water. The equipment is excellent and the spots are very well chosen to be able to admire a wide variety of fish. The optional snorkeling in two small caves was also a real highlight. The tour is well timed and a perfect half-day trip in the Bay of Islands.
Hi Jacqueline, That was a fun group that you were able to join! We always seem to have an super cool crowd on our trip, as we all have something in common with the passion of the ocean. The area we go to is just the best here in the Bay of Islands as we can guarantee that you will see hundreds of fish and plenty of variety also! Hopefully you can get back here with your partner to share, but also to get to do it again! It was great to also bump into you on the car ferry after your coastal walk between Russell and Paihia. All the best, Tammy 🤿🐟🤿🐠🤿🐡

    Clear waters and beautiful snappers
We had a great excursion to a secluded bay, that had been made a conservation area. It shows, that creation of this kind of no-take zone has been very beneficial for fish breeding, as we saw a healthy number of snapper. The water was clear, the boat was sturdy, the hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the meal was nourishing. Our original trip was cancelled due to rough weather, but it was no problem to move the reservation to the next morning. I strongly recommend participation to anyone, who is interested in marine nature. Seppo and Mari from Finland
Hi Seppo and Mari, Thank you for taking time to do a review and super stoked that we could get you out the next day. We do love showing the Bay of Islands off above and below the sea and yes the no-take area that we go has proven to be so successful and we are excited to hear that it has been extended for another 10 years! I hope the rest of your time here in NZ was a super one! All the best Tammy 🤿🐟🤿🐠🤿

    A must do snorkelling adventure.
Fantastic opportunity to see New Zealand’s marine life including hordes of fish life up close and personal in a family safe way. Tammy and Scott are amazing. They were super friendly, helpful and so enthusiastic about this amazing environment. This really is a “must do” adventure if you like the marine environment. Tammy and Scott were the perfect hosts. Their vessel was safe and secure and Tammy handles it with skill, while Scott was an amazing snorkelling guide, catering perfectly to both the beginners and more advanced snorkelers. We were taken out two two shallow-water snorkelling sites out at NZ’s famous Deep water Cove out near Cape Brett (outer bay of islands). Both snorkelling sites were amazing, with high diversity and abundance of New Zealand marine fish life that represents a very unique mix of coastal and offshore species all in shallow snorkelling depths. For those that like to be up close and personal, kina (NZ sea urchins) collected outside the protected area are broken open for you each to feed the fish yourselves - making it a very fun and exciting experience, and one that you definitely shouldn’t miss. i have dived and snorkelled around the world and Tammy and Scott, and this snorkelling adventure, they is one of the very best. Don’t miss it.
Hi Waganaught, Thank you for this amazing review! 😊 Hearing that you have snorkelled in many places and rank us as one of the best is awesome, Not only we know we can deliver an awesome trip but the fish life in the reserve does the rest, but also having the two completely different sites makes it more than just a snorkel in the Bay of Islands but a world class adventure. Safe travels and would love to see out with us again. Tammy 🤿🐟🤿🐡🤿

    Fun snorkelling adventure
Our family had such a good experience snorkelling with Tammy & Scott. It was a small group and very personal, Tammy & Scott were extremely knowledgeable about the area and we felt safe and in good hands for the entire trip… Would highly recommend….

Wonderful half day with Tammy and Scott. They were enthusiastic hosts with good local knowledge. Small boat which means you aren’t bumping into hordes of people when snorkelling. Added bonus was feeding the fish with sea urchin harvested by Scott on the way out. Wished I hadn’t left my underwater camera at home! Highly recommended.
Thanks Micphilli for the high rating ☺️ Yes limiting our numbers has been popular and we love it too as we can enhance the experience even more with that personal touch and dry wet suits! 😀. Our office is just the best so it doesn't take much for us to be excited about going to work. We are now back down to the 1 trip a day with longer time out snorkelling and a stop at Otehei bay on the way home which is awesome too! Safe travel and don't forget your underwater camera next time!!! 😎 Tammy 🤿🐟🤿

Fabulous, Flexible, and Environmentally Conscious – An Unforgettable Experience!
Fabulous, Flexible, and Environmentally Conscious – An Unforgettable Experience! We had an absolutely fantastic day with Tammy and Scott on the 19th of December 2024 in the beautiful Bay of Islands. I was really keen to go snorkelling, while my husband was a bit hesitant. Tammy was incredibly accommodating, welcoming him along on the trip even though he wasn’t planning to get in the water. To our surprise, during the second part of the adventure—exploring an underwater tunnel and cove—Tammy gently encouraged him to take a dip, and he absolutely loved it! What stood out to me was the thoughtful, eco-friendly approach they bring to the experience. Instead of using artificial fish food, Tammy and Scott collected sea urchins to feed the fish, ensuring everything remained natural and sustainable. Their commitment to the environment while delivering an unforgettable adventure truly impressed me. Every detail was carefully considered, from the high-quality snorkelling equipment to the warm shower waiting for us after our dive. It was a perfect blend of adventure, comfort, and environmental respect—a day we’ll always remember. Highly recommended!
