360 degree view of the City of Porto!
It is worth visiting and climbing the Torre dos Clérigos. The view from up there is surprising! 360 degrees of the city of Porto! We paid 8 euros per person to visit the Tower and the Museum. Inside there is the possibility of purchasing photos taken by a team of photographers in chroma key with images of the Tower and the city of Porto. We liked it so much that we bought 3!

    Head for heights
Great value for money. There is a small museum as well. The qclimb to the top is not as bad as I thought but the staircase is very narrow and gets narrower at the top. Not very many places to pass people coming back down. The views from the top are fantastic

    Lovely church and view
The church is gorgeous and you get to walk around it as part of the tower visit. The tower was not particularly dificult and there were great views from the top. You can see across the city and river and it was a great place to get a sense of where everything was in Porto.

    Actually enjoyed it!
Hadn't planned to do this at all, but was pleasantly surprised. The climb to the top of the tower was relatively easy. I am recovering from knee surgery so was a little nervous. It was actually OK and not too crowded. We're not ones for churches etc, but it was quite interesting to see.

    A great experience
A very beautiful church. The view from the tower is really great of course, but unfortunately there are a lot of people at the top. Access is small, since the tower was never built for tourist visits. You cannot see the Ponte Luís I either. It is worth a visit.

Recognizable Porto monument, prepare for the climb (on the hill and the tower)
This church tower is another recognizable monument of Porto. You can climb it, but for it you have to pay around 8 euros. It is supposedly the tallest "building" in Porto built on the top of the Porto's biggest hill. Speaking of the hill, be prepared for climbing, so if you are not in condition, go slow.

    Impressive views
Great views - impressive building. Can get very busy. It takes about an hour to get around - more if you want to linger reading more info on the various exhibits. The stairs to the tower aren’t for the claustrophobic - they are fairly narrow and it is difficult for people to pass each other. I felt more could be done to steward the up and down activity, to make it safer and more comfortable. Go early in peak season to avoid the crowds and have a more enjoyable visit.

    Fabulous views
I nearly chickened out of ascending the tower steps since initial few leading to start of tower were of the tight, enclosed, spiraling variety, which triggered premature anxiety. However the steps in tower itself are easy to navigate with continuous railing on one side and a small landing every few steps. Visiting the museum occurs prior to ascending the tower. Definitely recommend midweek if possible and earliest in day to avoid what other reviews mention of challenges of 2-way stairway traffic. It was extremely windy at top despite calm morning…just be prepared to hold onto hats. We didn’t appreciate the heavily advertised evening light shows which occur within the church itself and a displayed “nature tree” of sorts, claiming to somehow bridge earth and heaven, considering this is apparently a catholic church?? But the exhibits in the museum section were very interesting.

Nice climb to one of Porto's landmarks
Great historic monument. I climbed the stairs up, was lucky it was open at night the day I went. It was a bit tight, but totally worth it. It gets a bit windy at the top, so take a jacket.

    Impressive.
Impressive. Nice views. Combine the visit with the church and museum and then do the tower last. All in the same building and easy to navigate. One thing, easy climb but the spiral steps are very tight and small. Same route up and down. I was lucky as it was quiet when I went but if it is busy and you get claustrophobic, then just be mindful.
