Tentoonstellingen Het Museum toont in een groot aantal vaste opstellingen de vele ontwikkelingen in de twintigste eeuw, maar heeft in drie zalen ook steeds wisselende exposities. Zo is er steeds iets nieuws te ontdekken. Op deze site treft u het meest actuele aanbod van activiteiten en tentoonstellingen aan. U kunt zich ook abonneren op de digitale Nieuwsbrief en zo op de hoogte blijven. De exposities gaan over zeer uiteenlopende onderwerpen en spreken vaak ook een breed publiek aan. Oude gevangenis Het Museum van de Twintigste Eeuw is gevestigd in een oude gevangenis op het prachtige Oostereiland bij de mooie haven van Hoorn. Daar beschikt het museum over een ruime MuseumShop, een ruimte voor de Educatieve Dienst waar o.A. Schoolklassen ontvangen kunnen worden, een voor publiek gesloten Depot en een Open Depot waar het publiek zelf kan zien wat er zoal wordt verzameld en beheerd.
