Hotels near Park Güell

The quirky colorful mosaics and undulating curves of Park Güell are a signature of the legendary Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who designed many of the features in this park. Officially opened in 1926 and initially planned as a district for the rich, it is now one of the city's most popular attractions and a great representation of Catalan modernism. The entrance with two fairytale-like houses and the iconic salamander fountain are the most busy. Tickets are required to enter the park.

    Nice park
Been to this park many years ago. It was a very hot day very crowded and lots of walking up and down hills. The park is nice to see cost about 10 euros each to get into and also had to book a time slot. Like the gaudi work. Love the parqettes that fly about the park. There is a cafe at the bottom of the park it was really busy. The flowers and plants were nice to see as well

    Amazing Architecture
Visited this beautiful parc - Make sure you book before you go as it gets very busy. It was fabulous seeing the Gaudi architecture. It cost 10 euros to get in but it was well worth it. You can get some amazing views of the city. Don’t think there was anywhere to get a drink in the parc so take some water.

Definitely see Parc Guell while in Barcelona!
Parc Guell is a must see in Barcelona! Absolutely beautiful views of the city from this park designed by Antoni Gaudí. There is a lot to see, so leave plenty of time! Also you must purchase tickets online in advance and limited tickets are available so be sure to book early if you want to go. If you arrive more than 30 minutes after your reservation you will not be permitted entry, so be sure to arrive on time! Also, most of the park is dog friendly, so we were able to bring our small poodle and enjoy exploring most areas with him. In some portions of the park, dogs are not permitted.

    Colours & Space
Amazing thought went into creating these gardens, from the aesthetics to the engineering behind the structure and irrigation. The tour guide was also very informative and shared about how imaginative Gaudi was in his use of materials and what he tried to portray. Just wished it wasn’t so hot!! May be the best time to go is when it’s cooler.

    Underwhelming
Interesting structures but ridiculously overrun with selfie-obsessed crowds. Felt more like a Disney attraction than the pretty park it once was. A few quieter shady green paths and the good city views make it worth one visit just to have seen it, but I would not bother going back

Hilly Adventure in a beautiful Park
Beautiful park! Our biggest complaint was directions. I didn’t feel like each section was actually labeled and it was hard to navigate. There was a limited amount of people allowed to enter and we literally bought the last tickets.

Very Modernista, saddening - and crammed
Interesting place for thos in love with the Modernista style , however also with a saddening story and background. We had a guided tour and likeluy got a pretty good information (though the guide appeared less-than-enthusiastic or just plain bored) Worst part was the evergreen tourist catch-22: There were FAR too many visitors, i.e. the place was completely crammed and it became quite difficult to move around. But how can you blame everybody else to go where you self want to go?

This park is quite peaceful despite the crowds and the buildings are amazing!
Perched on the edge of a hill, facing central Barcelona, Park Guell is a place you have to go. It was in our top 3 of all the things we saw/did in our 2 weeks here. We had fallen in love with Gaudi's buildings, and his structures here did not disappoint. The Park has a circuit that takes you to all points of interest so you don't miss anything It's a bit tricky to get to on the Metro, but there is a bus from Placa Catalunya that will drop you at the side entrance. Buy your entrance ticket before you go! If you want to get in before the tour groups, buy at least a week ahead.

The tour guide was more interested in keeping us in a straight line than giving a tour.
First, the park. It's fine. It's interesting and weird and strange. Not very "botanical". The history is interesting and some of the views of the city are wonderful. Would I every go back? No. And our English tour guide was awful - clearly irritated to be there and was much more concerned with our walking patterns than providing information. Meh.

Terrible service and behaviour of the Park's staff at the Golden tour entrance
The Park itself is an attraction worth to visit. But my husband's and mine experience was somewhat ruined by the behaviour of the entire Golden Tour entrance staff. Arrogant, inpolite, intolerant. Never have met with this kind of approach and client service. Be aware that you have to be there on time, even if you are late 2 minutes not by your own mistake, but because of the malfunction of gps coordinates (given at the purchased ticket) and misguided info given by the staff at the other Park entrance, you will be met only with a bad attitude and lack of any good manners. No solution and no feedback was allowed neither to us nor to one Belgium familly with the same problem. They said we are late for tour in English and that we should e-mail the company which issued rhe tickets. That company is another story, equally unprofessional and outrageousely inconsiderate. These young people working at the entrance, should look up to the staff of Sagrada Famillia, who, even with 10 times more crowds and problems, behave themselves very professionally and with patience. Also, big kudos to the certified guide in Spanish Mr.Stephen Carvajal, who saved the day, both to us and to the Belgium familly. He was resonable and professional and led the tour perfectly. Since a significant number of people didn't show up in his group (I assume for the same reasons as in our case), he let us in with him. Whatever is the reason of being late 2 minutes that day, upgrade of gps in the whole city, wrong guidance, mistake by the taxi driver, or even our own (which is not the case here), you should be trained to treat people nice and in a professional way. It is not all about money, guys!
