Yes it has great views and is very interesting . But the star of the show is the coffee shop within it and in particular the best home made fresh cream strawberry tarts in the World , I do not jest, one of those tarts is like strawberry city , you need 20 minutes and a knife and fork to eat one and only £3.95 amazing .

The walkway across the dam power station offers scenic views of the River Tummel. The salmon ladder is an engineering marvel that provides salmon access upstream to spawning grounds. The museum provides a comprehensive look at the building of the dam/ power station, the salmon migration, and the surrounding river ecosystem.

Having read about the dam and the fish ladder, we were very interested in visiting from an engineering standpoint. We didn't go into the visitor center but walked down to the dam along the path that others were following. We took a number of pictures of the dam itself and the river and loch up and down stream but could never figure out how to see the fish ladder.

We came here to see if we could see any salmon climbing the ladder (well on the live cam swimming through the pipes). We climbed the ladder ourselves, then crossed over to go to the Visitor Centre and cafe. It was interesting to see each pool and as we eagerly peering in each one to check for a salmon.....none to be found. But it was very interesting. 

Nice little place to visit, good views from the damn and interesting to see the fish ladder. We spent about an hour there which is probably long enough. Worth visiting if you are passing but probably not worth going out of your way to visit.
