Complete with seating areas, picnic tables and sealed pathways, Bannerman Park is the perfect place for a quiet stroll or family outing. At Bannerman Park, you can find extensive plantings of rhododendrons, conifers, native ferns, daffodils, peonies, daylilies, willows, oaks and silver birches to name a few, intertwined with streams, ponds and a deer park.

Located 11km from Gore, near the Croydon Bush Scenic Reserve and on the lower slopes of the Hokonui Hills, Dolamore Park offers something for everyone. Dolamore Park is home to a variety of exotic plant, fresh water, and native bird species. You can also find camping, picnic and BBQ facilities, walking and mountain biking tracks through the forest, an education centre and a playground.

The Gore Public Gardens are one of Gore's well-loved attractions, offering something for locals and visitors alike. Among the exotic trees and shrubs are a number of rare and unusual specimens. The Acquatic centre encompasses an eight-lane 25m main pool, a leisure pool (including a toddler's pool, rain drop, water fountains, walk-in beach area, bubble pit & sprays), a hydrotherapy pool as well as a wide variety of inflatables and regular events.

The Gore Golf Club was established in 1904, and moved to the present Croydon links in 1931. The 18 hole parkland course is relatively flat, and only 3km from the centre of Gore.
