The Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, displaying, and interpreting artifacts, antiques, books, documents, photographs, and oral history relative to the History of Diving. We tell the international story of man's attempts to explore, understand, and venture under the sea. We also celebrate the special role that South Florida and the Florida Keys played in this story. The Florida Keys History of Diving Museum is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational institution focused on the Story of Man's Quest to Explore Under the Sea. The majority of the Museum's artifacts have been provided through the generous support of its founders, Drs. Joe and Sally Bauer, who hold one of the largest collection of historic diving equipment and research documents in the world.

The Keys only production brewery is now open to the public. In the heart of the Morada Way Arts and Cultural District, located at MM 81.6 Ocean side is where you can find Florida Keys Brewing Co. We are a small micro brewery with an artsy island vibe and brewing close to 30 styles of beer annually. YOU CAN ONLY BUY FKBC BEER IN OUR TASTING ROOM. We only brew small batches until our larger equipment arrives early this summer. Then we will only be found in Monroe county. This historic lighthouse off the east coast of Florida Keys was named after a pirate ship that sank in that location over a century ago. So don't worry, there aren't actually any alligators found here! Today, the now decommissioned lighthouse marks the wreck of the ship and teems with marine life and corals in its crystal clear waters, making it a popular spot for snorkeling. You can get up close to the lighthouse on a boat or jet ski tour, which sometimes also include stops at the nearby sand bars and other spots around Islamorada. – Tripadvisor

What do lobster traps and art have in common? Our Islamorada-based gift shop and gallery has the answer: tropical artwork in repurposed lobster trap frames. When we took an art class in 2002, we had no idea that our hobby would evolve into a full-blown store and website by 2003. Now, our in-person and online visitors are dazzled not only by our signature frames and paintings that line the gallery walls but also by our underwater photographs, apparel designs, gifts, and other brightly-colored items. We can create custom lobster-trap frames for pieces you bring in, and we can even custom-print your photos onto a wide variety of items in less than 15 minutes! Inspired by our travels in the Caribbean and the Florida Keys, our store speaks to art lovers both near and far.
