"Tatahi Lodge had private suites which was a must for us. We stayed in a private two-bedroom suite, which was close to the beaches, around the corner from town, and had plenty of space to relax."

"Comfy bed. Room of three people only, which is great for more quietness. Although room is small but it's ok.. Good wifi. Great staff. Easy to park the car around if the carpark of the hostel is full."

"Walls were a bit thin, and beds and pillows weren't overly comfortable, but hey, that's how it usually works at hostels. Shared bathrooms were always clean and lots of hot water."

"Laundry was a bit tricky since the hostel doesn't have separate laundry from the rest, they use it the entire morning so time your laundry. It was a nice hostel with great views over lake taupo."

"There’s a washer and dryer available for anyone who needs to use it. Ian also offered coffee or tea with the condiments. I’ve never had anyone offer this for the small price I paid to stay in a hostel."

"The hostel is located 3 minutes walk from CBD so is very close to all activities . There are multiple supermarkets within 10 minutes walk. The hostel is located directly opposite kuirau park worth a walk thru."
