We stayed very cheaply in a cabin on the lower floor. This was cozy and special, but also very cramped. The clucking of the waves against the side wall takes some getting used to. Also otherwise quite clairvoyant. The bar on deck is cool.

Family dinner, good service, very friendly staff, very well prepared dishes, but clearly insufficient quantity to be satisfied. Recently paint tried the executive lunch menu, having been totally satisfied on the occasion!

I have lived in Costa Nova for 10 years and have always hesitated to come and dine on this boat. Yesterday, pushed by friends, we tried and experimented. The staff is left to their own devices and tries to do the best. But this smacks of inexperience, or better "bound hands and feet" by management. No boss or manager present. A Saturday evening!?. No tablecloth or set on the table, the cutlery placed directly on the table..Hygiene.table certainly cleaned with the same cloth as the bar or other. When we claim to offer wines for 180 euros...we try to make an effort, Mr. "absent director". The so-called fish soup...water. The duck breast...please. stick with your Portuguese cuisine. Mr. Chief. Already, you should ask the customer their cooking preference.. The panacota, red fruits.. it's not marmalade!. And as for the said cream..? But we are served in Vista Alegre dishes...great style...hihi. For the price of the wines, you're wondering. Look at the number of bottles on the tables...hihi. As for the choice...to cry. When we ask to speak to a so-called "manager" we are told that he is not present, no name and that the opinions of customers do not interest him = it is his concept..Bravo.. that's why on a Saturday evening and with a blue sky you have 10 seats...after 5 years of opening. The gentleman is certainly a businessman in tourism. And opposite the restaurants are crowded. So in conclusion, out of politeness, the average rating for the decor and the smiling staff. But above all not to recommend. We have so many choices. Greetings.L.A.

We had a fantastic 2 days stay on the boat...and were very fortunate to do so on our own, in light of the circumstances with travel etc. Literally just the two of us!
Everything from the moment we arrived was great - Rui (Manager) was very hospitable, as well as all the staff who were really attentive. Every morning the Chef came out for a chat and was really polite and full of conversation.
A fabulous few days on 'our own' boat - would highly recommend!
Many thanks!!

I had to join TripAdvisor just to write about our dinner experience on costa Do Sal !! Stopping from Porto to Lisbon was all last-minute and spontaneous finding towns to go to etc. and as I’m googling, this boat pops up and I look at the pictures sort of compared with the humble quaint beach town where it stays on the docks and I couldn’t believe my eyes?! it seemed so out of place. I wish we had stayed there, but there was no family rooms to fit two adults and a child as the rooms are standard boat rooms - however we did show up for a dinner and it was honestly the most magical dinner experience I’ve ever had on a vacation and I’m in my 40s and extremely well traveled !!! The boat has been recently refurbished and is absolutely gorgeous, the staff were incredible -but most of all was the sushi we had for dinner. I have spent time in Tokyo, lived in Hong Kong, London for many years and now New York for a decade - and it was right up there with the best sushi I’ve ever had !! (Just to top it all off it was at Portugal prices). If you can separate with your kids and get two different rooms next-door to each other I would say it is family friendly for older kids -but definitely for solo travelers or couples this is not to be missed!! it is completely worth your stop over for the night on the way to Lisbon or on the way to Porto- you will not be disappointed!!!

Employees with no idea of what they are doing, there is no point in investing in a refined space and then forgetting to hire people trained in the area.
I went in and waited for 15 minutes for someone to come and serve me, when I placed my order (orange juice) I was told that it wasn't possible because they had a lot of work, there was an employee (other employees were chatting at the door) at my table and 2 more.

Anyone who sees the beautiful photographs has no idea what they will find as a "room".
Influencers only show beautiful things.
Nobody talks about the bathrooms that barely fit a person, the musty smell when you open the bedroom door, the landscape outside the window that doesn't exist, the dirty carpets that don't even give you the courage to walk barefoot on the floor. And the whole nights when you can't sleep because you hear footsteps overhead, people talking on the street, and moving in the bed in the next room. You wake up thinking that the ceiling is going to fall on you from the unsoundproof noise.
We stayed for four days, we asked for cleaning and they just changed the bath towels.
For the amount we paid, which was a lot, we expected to find the little one.
As a leisure activity, it's interesting.
As a hotel, it is, without a doubt, the worst I have ever been to.

Well, I'm going to disagree with the half-goat, half-cabbage reviews of this establishment!
It's very fun and original. The size of the rooms (cabins, in fact) is minimal and the shower even more so, but it is not every day that you can stay, for a very reasonable Award, in the cabin of a boat whose interior decoration (woodwork in particular) is remarkable. A special mention for breakfast, where the buffet is perfect (the bacon eggs in particular), with unfortunately a grumpy and bossy waitress - It is not without its flaws, therefore, but the value for Award that remains absolutely exceptional. I'll go back.
It is not the comfort of a Great Pension, but if you like beautiful and original things, without the size of the room worrying you, treat yourself!!!

Very positive experience. Pleasant atmosphere of romantic and nautical climate.
Comfortable cabins though I recommend that you reserve the larger ones as this is a boat. Professional and attentive staff. Restaurant with well made food and bar with nice and competent service. I recommend the visit and will definitely come back

No doubt a well located accommodation and easy accessibility.
The rooms (in the lower floor ) are small but confrontable, the fact that they are next to the Ria level gives a feeling of rest at night
(H ⁇ there is a room next to Proa) near a machine is to avoid.
Fortunately for us the exchange was possible.
And by the way better.
We had dinner and it was a reasonable meal.
I definitely recommend the upper floor with the bar that invites you to enjoy the landscape.
No doubt to come back one day
