Wonderful place to feel good and enjoy. The food was excellent. The salad buffet and especially the potato salad are excellent. Rarely had salads so well made. The salad dressing is great.
Breakfast and cheese selection leave nothing to be desired.

It was our third visit this year and we were as pleased as the first time. The owners and staff make you feel welcome. Everything is perfect. Food is excellent. Accommodations are wonderful. Each room is different and unique. Lovely pool and wellness Center. This year there was even WiFy in all rooms. Breakfast is excellent and the 5 course dinners are delicious and wonderfully presented. The Allgäu is the perfect location for a wonderful holiday. Again it was a highlight of our German visit this year.

I'm proud to say that I'm the first person to rate this hotel in English.
Firstly, upon our arrival the staff were incredibly helpful. The lady on reception mentioned everything before we needed to ask. I found it strange that she wanted the D.O.B from everyone, as I've never experienced this before in the 100's of hotels I've stayed in world wide. Nevertheless, I won't let that detract from the stay.
The room was lovely and warm, if not too warm at times after outdoor activities, but you can control this yourself using the radiators. The room was nice and clean and had all amenities you'd want... and now comes the 'but'... for a modern hotel that offers wifi, it should be available in all rooms and all areas of the hotel where customers go and not just in reception / lobby area. In addition, I've always expected to find a kettle in my room, but alas, we didn't have one - but we brought our own. Wife was insisting, whereas I was doing the same to say that they'd have one in the room for a 4* hotel.
Food - the food was just wonderful and tasty. I can't complain for one moment. Breakfast offers everything you'd expect in a German hotel (don't expect a British breakfast). Evening meals were delicious and the food outstanding. I can't compliment them enough. My son was absolutely in love with the place as he loved to go to his sitting place and find it ready for him. Even when my son couldn't decide on what he wanted to eat, one of the serving staff came over and chatted to him. After 10 seconds, he was convinced on what to eat.
The pool area - nice and tidy and modern. Looks new and suits the hotel. Nice and warm and good for my baby daughter to relax without needing all the clothes on for winter.
For those young folks, like I like to think I am. There are a lot of old folk in this hotel. It seems to serve the older (50+ generation mainly) but as we, in our 30's were there, we weren't treated any different.
Kids - not a negative word from the staff, always happy and smiling and forever helpful towards them. It is certainly, even though not advertised, a children friendly hotel.
All in all, a wonderful wonderful hotel. Highly recommended to the non-German speaking visitors to this area of Germany.

In general, the stay was fine, food was good and the staff was friendly, except for the owner... when we checked out it turned out that we were missing a discount card and that we had to pay 20 euros for it. This was not mentioned at check-in, but apparently it was in the small print somewhere in the booklet where they were originally included. Since I have never had to pay for a missing room ticket anywhere in my life, I was not going to pay 20 euros for this. Now the owner came along (Conny Berwanger) and she was not exactly amenable to reason, she was downright rude and did not listen to what we as guests had to say about it. It's a shame to end the stay like this and I feel sorry for the staff, because I'm sure they are not listened to either.
