First trip to Birchbend cottage

What can I say. Birchbend cottage resort is the best. We decided to use our vacation time to go to a cottage for the first time ever. We hit the jackpot. Kent Dianne and Nigel are amazing people. The resort is beautiful quiet and well tended to. The cottage was immaculate .Clean and welcoming. We had the most relaxing time and felt at home from the moment we walked In the door. Everything was supplied. Right down to kitchen garbage bags and toilet paper . We have to say we are now spoiled and wont be able to go anywhere else as our first cottage experience was perfect. We were in the Birchwood . It had a queen bed sofa dining room area and walkin shower. It had plenty of room and was cozy and warm for cool nights yet breezy in the day . The sunsets are breathtaking .. All the other guest were so friendly and nice. We came to relax and enjoy time together and wow we did . Thank You Kent Dianne and Nigel for making us feel so welcomed and providing a beautiful resort and cottage for our time away from home . You are a beautiful friendly and welcoming family and we will definitely be back..Stay safe and hope to see you in 2022. Thank you Brent and Chris Hopkins Welland Ont…

A Fantastic Getaway

This was a fantastic trip. I would recommend anyone to try this out, as my family is definitely returning again once we have the chance. The Boathouse was well furnished, clean and right by the water. The grounds were well kept, and our boat rental was kept clean and filled with gas. You can tell that the owners take pride in their business. Fishing was fantastic. No matter which bait was used, we always found something on the other end of the line! We have never caught so much bass before. Overall, a great family getaway!

Camping/ fishing get away.

Myself and 6 other people rented 2 cottages. Enjoyed our stay. Canoes were free to use aswell as kayaks and paddle boat. The girls really enjoyed the paddle boat using their feet. We fished on and off all weekend and the weather we really nice. The owners/staff were very nice and accomidating. Nobody bothered us or ever told us to keep it down. The lake view is beautful and you really do have a chance to relax. You can purchase firewood and kindling from staff up to 8pm. $10 a bundle Would definitly recommend it to a friend. My only adjustment would be renting the "hideaway" for 1 person. The bed is a single futon pull out. Not much space on the cabin. So 1 person or a couple. Besides that it was a great time. Annual Fishing Trip

This was our annual September Fishing Trip with childhood friends and family. It’s our favorite trip of the season and always look forward to it. Very friendly and courteous family run cottage resort. As always it was an amazing time, Thank You !!

Relaxing!!

We stayed in the Birchwood cottage for a relaxing week of vacation. I was so pleased with the cottage and amenities provided, a ceiling fan in the living room area, a table top fan in the bedroom, full size appliances and the kitchen had everything we needed. A very comfortable queen size bed in the single bedroom cottage, a very new looking shower in the bathroom (with a squeegee - just like home!) They provide toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing soap...so many things I didn't need to bring. A new deck on the front of the cottage and great picnic table and umbrella with a beautiful view of the lake. A barbecue, wifi and TV. The owners were right there on site if you need anything and were nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
