Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great! Only stayed one night here. They do close the computers down around 11 or 12 o'clock PM so get your internet browsing in before then. The beds were quite nice, and the owner offered us food many times on our short stay. It's pretty much the only hostel in the Karikari Peninsula that I know of. There is a bar (maybe a restaurant as well) right across the parking lot, along with a gas station across the street.

We arrived around 6 or 7, but the place does seem to shut down later. So, either get there early or call ahead to book a room. You wouldn't want to get in real late and have the owner be already asleep!

Also, the owner gave me a discount on the internet. He let me use it unlimited during my short stay for $5, which isn't too bad. Some places charge a lot more!
