Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The unit I was in requires a lot of work on the bathroom while showering the water runs out under the door. It took a towel and bath mat to stop it reaching the carpet. Also on the second day my room was not serviced at all so was luck I was the only one in the room otherwise I would not have had a towel. Also the light that comes in the bottom window of the door at night is like trying to sleep with the light on in the room.

Perfect place to spend a few days. The rooms were wonderful and quiet. Countdown right across the street so if your on a cycle tour it's perfect to lay in your supplies for the trip ahead. The restaurant also provided beautiful lunches for the cycle tour. Definitely recommend

We have stayed at this place a lot over the years and we have had our staff stay here. It is still popular as a stopover for company staff however it is now showing its age with very little maintenance being done for the tariffs being asked. The restaurant traditionally was always good also but there is now a ‘design your own meal’ menu that is designed to extract as much money from your wallet as possible for a very average fare. In the future we will probably look for somewhere else which is a shame as we have enjoyed this place over many years.

Managed to rent a two bed unit at short notice so all good there, it was however unbearably hot with no air conditioning and with the windows open sleep was impossible as road noise very loud and lots of children running around on the balconies until the early hours

Paid $135 for a night in the hotel which had restaurant and bar facilities attached. The photos dont even resemble where we stayed but address fits so hope am reviewing the correct hotel. We were told that it had a complete overhaul so maybe photos on site need an overhaul as well. A big hotel complex with plenty of parking and newly redecorated room which was very clean and had small kitchenette, dining and lounge area with Television and free wi-fi.

Close to lots of eateries and you can stroll down to the main street of Alexandra and the bridge. Found the facilities pretty basic. Our bathroom was dirty. Had trouble sleeping due to the light coming in the glass door, bottom pane. Top pane had a blind we could pull down. Operators aware of the situation. Car park right outside our room, but we left it parked there earlier in the day and someone had driven past and scratched the side, so we moved it out onto a side street. We wouldn't stay here again, sleep is just too important and we found our male neighbours very loud.

Overpriced at $180 for 2 persons. Outdated generally and poorly equipped especially kitchen. Very hot, light and noisy at night. Needs air conditioner. There was an old ripped blind on the glass door. Very scruffy. Many of these complaints have been made before but no improvements made. Lost all our food due to fridge not being set properly and not happy with dealings with the owner. Staff were great but Considering the price we paid I DEFINITELY WONT BE GOING BACK

Hi Artist1952 Many thanks for your review that you threatened us with when you demanded a refund for a fridge that didn't work when in fact it was fine and someone presumably yourself had turned it down. You made the statement you had checked it and it was working when you checked in as you know motel fridges can be turned off. You also made claims about other things such as the spa not working in the room which was also proved incorrect as far as your baseless claim we have made no improvements your are again factually incorrect all rooms have been re-carpeted repainted and have new light blockout curtains in them, Your kitchen was as advertised with a in bench hotplate microwave jug toaster and all utensils required to cook. I wonder about your motives for your complaint as you were so insistant that you were due a very specific amount for a refund, you also spent some time canvasing other guests trying to find out how their stay was which we received complaints about so please do as your review says and never book here again,

Had a 2 night stay with the extended family. We were 2 adults 2 kids. Pros: Staff were friendly and it was straight forward check in. Cons: Room was pretty hot and stuffy even with the fan. Bed linen were old and felt like it was due a change/upgrade. Left the stay with bites all over my feet. If I do another trip probably will stay somewhere else.
