This was our first experience of having our Christmas dinner at a restaurant/hotel. Unfortunately, we did not have a very good experience. We were a table of 5, pre-booked and ordered food. As we arrived there were people standing around in the lobby, so we thought we were

We spent three nights at the Manor Hotel Mundesley, the building was a little tired but this was more than compensated by the friendly staff, great food, cleanliness and the fact our dog was as welcome as we were. We have no hesitation in recommending the Manor Hotel Mundesley.

We were attracted by the sea food menu, so booked a table as it was my wife's birthday! The starter took 45 minutes to arrive, we both ordered mussels which were minute ! The mains of lobster and sea bass were both very small and dry and over cooked, vegetables, lacked lustre!

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, however I am disappointed that you didn't give us the opportunity to address any of your issues at the time, i have made a full investigation into your booking. from the time you placed an order to the time your starter arrived was a little over 15 minutes which to dress, cook and serve fresh live mussels i don't feel is unreasonable. Your main meal was also prepared from fresh, and in fact, fresh, live lobster from our tank. after a short while your server did approach your table and ask if everything was ok with your meal and you responded yes it was fine, it was also noted that you both had eaten all of your meals, if, as you stated it was the worst meal you've ever had, then, i would have not expected you to both clear your plates. It was not until you came to pay the bill that any mention of you not being satisfied was made. This, again wasn't said to your server but to the team member who was working on the bar, which is why they didn't have a clue, what you were talking about. We welcome all reviews good and indifferent so that we can use them to continuously improve. however posting negative and potentially damaging comments as a result of eating your whole meal, confirming to your server everything was fine with your food whilst you were eating is a little unfair to say the least.
