The advantages of the hotel: its location, the rooms with balconies, the south-facing view, the quality of the meals and the cook, the welcome by the staff in the restaurant room
The minuses: the cleanliness of the rooms (cleaning is not included in the week, it is up to us to vacuum them....) and the common areas (stairs, laundry room, corridors), the entertainment in general, the activities for children (non-existent), the lack of responsiveness of the reception team (battery problem for the TV remote control never resolved), the atmosphere at the après-ski bar, the meeting room entertainment that lacks warmth and nice decor, billiards pay....
In short, despite these less positive points, which can easily be improved for truly top service, we will be happy to come back because the value for money is interesting, especially as a family!
THANKS !
Too bad it was managed like a hotel. Fewer activities offered during the week.
The biggest asset of this hotel is their cook, he is at the top, the meals were of quality and always attentive when we needed We left with the entertainers for Turin, beautiful day and thanks to the guide for the beautiful hikes
One thing is certain, the establishment is suffering and it is time to give it a facelift. Poor quality bedding, bathrooms too small, TV out of order throughout the stay, housekeeping is absent for 7 days, deliveries and garbage removal from 6 a.m. under our windows (impossible to rest in the morning), the reflections from certain staff make us think that we are not customers (for some it is time to change path or retire). Fortunately, Bam and Laura are there to bring some comfort to this aging place. Many points can be easily improved with a little kindness, as much as you have to want it.
The only positive point is the catering (don't get carried away, it's still a canteen).
In short, after 4 attempts at the same level, we will no longer return by VTF and will prefer other holiday villages.
The three stars are a little wild, but it could pass thanks to the listening, kindness and availability of the staff.
On the other hand, the director of the institution must change her career orientation. No listening and will to solve the small problem we encountered. Her only answer is to tell us that she is not a magician...
It seems reasonable to us that in an institution that is open to the public, solving the simple problems encountered by the guests is the responsibility of the director, but that is not her review.
It’s a shame
The welcome and availability of the Director and her team
Restoration has been more disappointing this year.
The animations did not inspire us too much, except the Carrefour des Régions and the very successful Snowshoes release.
Our room was ok with a small french balcony. There was no air-conditioning.
Personnel was fine.
Village itself is specialised for winter holidays. Many hotels were closed and shops were selling skiis and clothes for winter time. Prices were high. We had a car and it took only 10 minutes to the nearest Italian village. In this Italian village near the border there were plenty of goos groceries, cafeterias and bakeries. And all this with reasonable prices.
