My family and I spent one night here after visiting Tongariro National Park. We stayed in a nice two bedroom unit that had plenty of space for the four of us and had a well stocked kitchen. The only thing that could be better was if there was free wifi.

We arrived on a rather chilly night. Owners were very helpful. Site facilities were clean and well maintained. Kitchen area was a nice size and clean. We cut our stay short due to the weather but would recommend the site.

An amazing location and the lodge is everything we needed for our stay. We stayed in a standard room and used the shared kitchen and bathroom facilities which were spotless and more than adequate. Will visit again

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay. The 2 br apartment was comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, it was warm, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A shuttle bus to the national park was organised by staff and left from the Lodge

We stayed in a self contained family apartment, so had our own well equipped kitchen and bathroom. The apartment was extremely comfortable, and the hot tub after the walk was soooo welcome (note this should prebooked on arrival to make sure you get a spot). The booking system was great and well respected, making it fair for all guests. The...

Excellent place, it was a pity that we could stay there only one night. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment. Everything was perfect, nice, spacious rooms, clean and elegantly furnished. Nice atmosphere - exactly as it should be in a mountain cottage. Kitchen fully equipped. Ideal location - close to the hiking trails. They provide a transport if you want...

I think enjoyed staying that the Plateau lodge, the rooms are clean and the showers are amazing! One thing that I didn't like was the breakfast package you can buy as the food in it wasn't very good quality.

The Plateau Lodge is a perfect launching point for walks such as the Tongariro Crossing. The staff are very friendly and helpful and on the morning of the walk they can provide you with breakfast at an early hour and a lunch pack, as well as transport either to or to and from the track. The bus driver is friendly...

Wonderful to hear your stay with us was a warm and perfect stay. The Tongariro National Park when the weather is looking grand ticks all the boxes for exploring.

My mother and I attempted the Tongariro crossing on the 15th April but the wind was so strong when we go to the mountain top we had to turn around as did almost everyone else. The driver for the Plateau Lodge was incredible that day, he made numerous phone calls for other trekkers (people who were not even staying at...
