Hotel Schloss Seefels
About
On the exterior, the Seefels is what it has always been: a jewel of the Wörthersee architecture in what is probably the most beautiful spot by the lake. After the extensive redesign, the Seefels is probably the most impressive 5-star castle and boutique hotel in the south of Austria. All the materials are de-luxe and the style avant-garde; a combination of a classic yet contemporary style with an exotic and unique touch. Much is made-to-measure and by hand. Just as much was commissioned by well-known manufacturers. Designers stand behind everything - for an ambience that amazes.
Urban jungle in the spa. Bird and flower heavens in the suites. And lake view, lake view, lake view - on the extended front row terrace, in the new premium gym as well as in the luxurious treatment suites. The heated lake pool is built in the lake. The high-end rock spa is right by the lake. Experience the fascinating Lake Wörthersee and the Seefels holiday feeling.

The house was extensively renovated in 2022. The reception hall is extremely dignified, the room with balcony and direct lake view is elegantly furnished, all in the house in different designs, with all amenities. The entire house is a symbiosis between history and a very stylish ambience.
The restaurants are without exception elegant, the service of the team of maîtres d'hôtel is pleasantly courteous and attentive, including Mrs. Daniela and Mr. Danijel.
The products of the outstanding, excellent cuisine are extremely exquisite and delicious, a journey of pleasure through the menus, well rounded off by the offerings on the extensive wine list. "Vaut le voyage" is the apt term for this address.
The extensive à la carte breakfast on offer leaves nothing to be desired.
The reception on arrival is politely distant, the service in the rooms is always friendly; the hotel servant, even the gardener, fit in perfectly with this picture.
Wellness with treatments and massages, saunas, one of which has a wonderful view of the lake, steam bath, spa, swimming in the lake with 28 degree warm water in a separate area, gym, etc. etc. etc., allow you to relax completely; the service here is also impeccable.
Overall, a pleasant, beneficial and successful stay for body and soul on sunny, pleasantly warm September days.
Chapeau.

The hotel with all its amenities and the great service from the entire service team were outstanding. We booked a junior suite with a lake view and a standard room with a garden view. The view from the balcony of the junior suite directly onto the lake was fantastic and the room's furnishings were also classy and high quality.
The standard room was also very nicely furnished and had a lovely view of the hotel garden and even a side view of the lake.
When you checked in, you were given a glass of champagne and you could sit down in the lounge while your luggage was brought to your room. A sweet surprise from the patisserie awaited you in your room.
The hotel's spa area is equipped with several steam baths and a wonderful panoramic sauna and there are plenty of places to lie down around the lake. The individual loungers are placed with enough space between each other so that you never have the feeling of being "shoved" for the best spots by the lake. A special highlight is the heated lakeside pool, which allows swimming in Lake Wörthersee in any weather at 27/28 degrees. We were very lucky with the weather and had sunshine almost all the time.
From a culinary point of view, the breakfast selection is worth mentioning. It is generously offered until 11:00, and there is a variety of sweet and savory dishes of great quality. In addition to the pastry buffet, there is also a large à la carte selection, including unusual dishes that you don't usually find on the breakfast menu (e.g. roast beef and consommé). The sweet à la carte dishes are also highly recommended (e.g. delicious almond waffles, and the best French toast of my life).
In the evening we ate once in the hotel (a very tasty 4-course menu, where our preferences were very well taken into account. For example, an alternative greeting from the kitchen was served for those who were not "fish fans"). We ate out once in Velden, and here too we would like to mention the great service provided by the reception team, who provided us with great local recommendations.
Overall, thanks to the whole team - we were looked after very attentively, from reception to the service staff to housekeeping. Friendliness and a "never say no" attitude prevailed everywhere.
We would love to come back in the future!

A unique experience.
What was offered here surpassed everything we have experienced and enjoyed before.
The friendliness of the staff was also of a natural warmth that cannot be overdone.
Many thanks to the entire TEAM!!!

Unfortunately, the service and friendliness on the beach has also deteriorated considerably compared to last year.
The loungers and the mats are partly dirty, some umbrellas are wobbly and broken and there are also sometimes shortages of beach towels.
There is no manager who has everything under control like the year before.
The positives are the excellent cuisine, the service, the bar, the very informative, friendly boat driver and the housekeeping which works very well.
All in all, it was a normal stay with reservations.

The service is remarkable. Starting off from the front desk over the waiters up to the staff in the spa, everyone is immensely friendly, attentive and helpful. Especially kind and caring was Herr Salem in the main dining area, fulfilling any of our wishes.
However, the food is disastrous. The menu is outdated and not up to any trends, seasonal adaptions are non existent, the ingredients and components of the dishes are bought rather than freshly prepared in the kitchen of Schloss Seefels and ultimately not even prepared with a hint of love. For a five star hotel with such a top reputation this was more than disappointing and after the first lunch we skipped that meal of the day and looked for alternative restaurants for dinner.

Lovingly designed welcome, the whole staff very friendly and accommodating. The spa unique, breakfast and dinner at
Porto Bello a treat.
I know the hotel before and after the renovation and I am totally surprised at how the house has been upgraded in all areas.
It is probably difficult to find something comparable in Europe, if that is even possible.
Many thanks to the entire team for allowing me to spend a few quiet and relaxing days in this house
