we travelled from the uk as a group of 15 for my daughters wedding Everything is kept clean and well taken care of... There is a large amount of staff who do an incredible job nothing is too much trouble, how ever we would like to mention eddie from the animation team he was amazing and kept the sports bar equipment, pool tables ping pong etc open till 11pm for us on my son in laws last night of freedom when it normally shuts at 5pm in the dinnining rooms inelvis was a ray of sunshine everyday and managed to get some mozi repellent from her home as none availble localy, jorge from the main bar kept our drinks flowing the whole 2 weeks and barbara our maid in block 10 was fantastic food... The selection is limited.. They are also having issues with supplies we ran out of cola in most bars wthinin 5 days and sprite a few days later also told as we were the first brits in 2 years food was catered for the cubans more than most if you can find a local shop their shelves are empty coudnt buy chocolate or crisps/snacks anywhere or general medicines breakfast I Omelets, Pancakes and cereal and churros and a variety of hot options some from previous nights meals lunch and dinner Lunch and dinner are similar. Rice, Pasta, Pork, Beef, Chicken, Fish and Potato. chips only once in 2 weeks burgers twice the last 2 nights you could get pizza in the italian just past the pool till 4pm and different snacks in 24hr bar best meal of the holiday was the wedding feast the turned out to be lobster after being told there wasnt any nothing wrong with the hotel just hope their supplies get better and they put more chips on…

If I am to go back to Cuba.. A hotel like this will do it... I stayed from May 27th to June 3rd 2022.. I do travel solo and this hotel is safe and friendly. This is what I experienced. Hotel, Grounds, and Room: Everything is kept clean and well taken care of... There is a large staff doing a great job. Even though I had a basic room... It was very clean and the maid did an amazing job. (1605).. Even tho I was not at the Pool... The pool was large and clean... Lots of seats and shade to sit and relax. Note: There is allot of walking.. So bring good walking shoes. You can request the Kart.. But you will miss things.. The ground have lots of flowers, plants and rock to statues. People enjoy taking pictures.. There is lots to take.. Buffet and Food: Ya, Same Story,, We don't go to Cuba for the food... The selection is limited.. They are also having issues with supplies like the rest of the world... I am a picky eater and there was enough for me to eat... I had no issues... Food was always hot and fresh.. For breakfast I Omelets, Pancakes and cereal.. Bring a bottle of maple syrup. They had Chocolate, and strawberry syrup.. Toast too... Lunch and dinner are similar. Rice, Pasta, Pork, Beef, Chicken, Fish and Potato... I was ok with it.. Lots of Cheese, Deserts and Fruits... Banana, Mango, Pineapple and watermelon.. What I really like the most is that they place the food in your plate.. Other restaurants where like a menu set up.... Just select what you want... The service is quick.. Take a picture of the menu at the door... You will need to look at it.. Cart Restaurants: Much better food and service was great... Food was fast and did not just look good.. It was good.. In the beer market area.. They have a Ice cream bar and a beer bar... Ya, I made a stop each day..LOL.. It is between the pool and the beach.. Coffee Bar: You will find a coffee bar in the lobby... They have great coffee, Expresso and cappuccino there... You need a coffee, Go there.... The coffee at the buffet not so good... Money and Tips: Best way I found was to change your money at the Hotel bank to Cuban CUP Pesos. Just change little as you need.. Much easer to tip with that.. Keep your USD money at home... Use Canadian money... Please don't tip loonies and toonies.. Just imagine you carrying all that weight.. Just do the exchange at the hotel bank.. Or find a local that will change if for you... Staff like it more in Cuban peso.... They still will take Canadian money, But they do have some issues exchanging it.. I was never bugged for tips, But I did leave some each day,,, Don't need to go tip crazy.. Some staff does change during the week... Go by how you liked the service... It was always good for me... Shops: The hotel does have a few shops.. Lobby area or on the grounds near the beach.. Note: shops only accept credit card... No cash... So keep the cash money for tips.. Beach: The water is clear, Bring that snorkel gear... Some food and the fish fly out at you... I found best snorkeling to the left near the rocks.. You will see.. Bring water shoes.. some areas are rocky.. Beach is clean.. Lots of shade and seats.. As you pick your spot.. A staff member will bring you seats and wipe it down for you.. I was on the beach for 9am.. Had lots of spots to pick from.. Note: it is a slower season in May.. Book a time slot for the paddle boats or catamaran.. kayak too.. you get 1 hour.. Just reserve a time slot... Staff will have you taken care of... The paddle boats are so much fun.. Due to it did rain in the evening.. Bring some bug spray... After the rain, The misquotes come out... So you may want to spray.. Remember lots of plants around so... Shows: I watched the shows... Kids show starts around 8:30pm.. Adult at 10pm... They are OK and give you something to watch at night.... This is a family resort... I know there where a few kids.. Never heard them... The staff must of kept them busy... They had a area for them near the pool... I also found an entertainment area.. It had, Archery, Bochy Ball, Large chest. and a mini golf course... Something else to keep you entertained.. Staff: The staff did a great job.. From Maids, Entertainers, Ground staff to security and so on... Everyone is friendly and helpful.. They always make everything was good... Even on the beach, They would always check up if I needed anything... This hotel has a great working staff. Hope this gave an insight... Looking to go back to Cuba in November... Can't wait..…

Exceptionnal treatment. Beach perfect. Snorkling great. Absolutely clean everywhere when no neglecting tourist. All personnel naturally very nice and friendly. Great entertainment. Not too much. Just enough. Nice to meet Cuban and ear spanish...this is Cuba! Dance shows beautiful. Food at least as good as other hotels. My new prefered vacation place.

We have stayed in Playa Pesquero Resort 3 times. We like the service, the cleanliness around, the magnificent beach. Small complaints about food. But we understand that it is difficult for Cuba to organize good food now, and for us this is not the most important thing. Last time we received a voucher for a week of free stay. We ran into a problem how to book this week, no one answers our e-mails. Maybe someone solved this problem?

First trip back to this beautiful little piece of heaven May 10-May17th 2022. This was our 12 trip to this resort and it never disappoints. Beach gorgeous..grounds stunning and as always the best staff in the world. We had no issues with food and the A la carte restaurant s were brilliant. Been home one week and missing everyone...see you next year..if not before.

I love Cuba and I have been to this large resort before. There were more food restrictions this time but that's not why I go. They are generous with what they have which is very little. The daily music was enjoyable, the drinks plentiful, the ocean beautiful and the service was wonderful! Everyone is always eager to help and I have made some great friends in the area! Thanks to Gledis in Customer Service for answering my questions! You always had time for me.🌞 I would definitely recommend this resort if you don't mind large resorts with lots of walking! Lots of walkways with benches and hammocks along the way!

We arrived April 6 2022. We have been to Holguin 4 other times. We were extremely impressed with PP. They have a reasonable Covid plan. The public bathrooms were impeccable. They were cleaned after almost every use. The food was much better than expected. Every meal was very good. From the buffet or the a lacartes. Service was exactly what you expect from Cuba(AMAZING!!) Our room was huge and very clean(maid service went above and beyond!), although slightly outdated. Tipping didn't seem expected, however it was greatly appreciated. The staff always went above and beyond for us. We tipped with twoonies and were frequently asked to exchanged coins for bills. They also really appropriate anything for children.(clothing, medicine, personal hygiene products) We have been to three other resorts in the area and this was by far our favorite! Just returned from Hotel Playa Pesquero in Holguin Cuba. Great staff, great food, the best beach ever! Been there plenty of times with family and friends. Always return to this resort. Never have issues and very clean. Love this place!!!!

Long time I try to write but there was dilemma. The one person put all very good staff in dark. Beach excellent, pools even better, staff best, food not good. We stay in 1111 from April 1 to 8. Nice restaurant on beach but all our frustration come from there. Guy who serve drinks purposely avoid us, no once, no twice but 3 time. Why, I think management should figure out.
