Booked for 3 nights during level 2 lockdown. Amazing value for money, a huge apartment with lots of living space and spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. Glen was attentive and brought fresh ingredients for breakfast each morning.
Great place to chill out and watch the world go by on the water.
Close to restaurant, coffee and fish and chips on the wharf
We will be back

Beautiful setting with a constantly changing view. Super comfortable and spacious. Enjoyed the use of the large TV . Fantastic location, with steps down to the Wharf and an easy 10 min walk to town. Glen kept our breakfast supplies topped up and responded quickly to our request. Would recommend!

stayed in Raglan for a few days at Journey's End. We had sole use of the apartment below Barry's house. Two bedrooms each with their own lock. Tea/coffee facilities, fridge, cooker etc. Spacious and decked area outside. We didnt mind the water tower view as we were out and about in Raglan - some lovely restaurants. Cooked breakfast from Barry each morning (this was Feb 2008 this web page only went as far back as march 2011)

We just stayed here for one night and it was fine. Despite the concrete tower the view is still very good and the place has a nice homely feel and has all the amenties you'd want including a great selection of DVDs to watch (not that we had time to). Barry was welcoming and friendly. We had the whole place to ourselves which was good - I don't know how much we would have enjoyed having another couple sharing the lounge and kitchen as we needed to spend some time on computers and that would have been a bit cramped in our room. It's about 1km from the centre of town although there is a new complex with some restaurants just down below it on the wharf.

We stayed here 1 night on way back to auckland for flight home. Raglan is a very nice beach town 2 hours drive to airport. This accomodation is essentially a seperate two ensuite bedroom apartment in Barry's house So a we had one of the bedrooms and shared lounge, dining, kitchen (no hob/oven only microwave), terrace. It was very well presented. However, breakfast let it down. All ingredients left in fridge so prepare it yourself - which is fine as it allows you to 'do your own thing'. Tinned fruit, sliced white bread (which we had to ask for as no bread was provided), small selection of cereal tea/coffee was dissappointing compared to other breakfasts in other B&Bs of similar price elsewhere. Barry also lets rooms in the main house I think - where i had to go to pay etc - there was a strong smell of dog and the place was quite untidy. Although the website refers to Barry and Tricia - Barry told us his wife had died a couple of years ago - perhaps this explains things. Oh and the view from the terrace is mainly of a very large concrete tower. This was all ok for 1 night but I think would have made longer stays disappointing.

Beautiful hosts
Stunning and clean, wonderful views, close to town, walk to the harbour.
We’ve travelled all over NZ and abroad, and this was 10/10 for air bnb. Best place we’ve stayed in in such a long time.
They went above and beyond to make our stay so welcoming ❤️

Glen went above and beyond with his hospitality, so incredibly friendly and so kind. Nothing was a problem and he even smoked a fresh snapper for us as a treat one night before turning on the spa for us. Absolutely wonderful host.
The house is perfectly situated just across from the wharf where the view is stunning and people watching is fun as you watch the boats go in and out. Beautiful scallops and oysters from the fish'n'chip shop across the road. The Wharf Restaurant is just next door and was a lovely meal.
Beds very comfy, showers were fabulous, having 2 bathrooms was a bonus with 5 ladies! The deck area was gorgeous to sit on in the sun with beanbags, etc for comfort. Would absolutely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Barry's place! He is such a nice and wonderful host. Gave us very good tips for our trip and for places to eat. Very clean and comfortable rooms with a spacious lounge. Barry prepared everything for breakfast and we could then help ourselves. We'd love to come back!
