Killer little hostel with good people working there. The layout is great, rooms open up to courtyard area with hot tub and hammocks. Great social spot. Quick drive to the beach and they offer board rentals and transport so there is usually a group of people all going together to surf.

We arrived in Raglan during a totally rained-out day. We couldn't do much and didn't know where we were staying that night. Luckily, we booked in here in a double room and didn't look back. The kitchen is well-equipped, showers and bathrooms are excellent and there's even a pizza oven and BBQ! Oh, and a free hot tub and steam...

This is the best hostel i have ever stayed at. Make sure you book ahead and dont fool yourself that you will only stay one night. It caters for surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding and body boarding. Its is amazing to watch the sun go down over the mountains and water. Shops are close. People are fantastic and laid back but...

Hands down the best hostel I've ever come across. The facilities are all faultless including two large kitchens, one cosy lounge and eating area and one large TV room, equipped with scores of dvds, blankets, bean bags, yoga matts, board games, instruments, books, free kayaks, hammocks and nice modern bathrooms (always clean). The atmosphere in this hostel can't be beaten,...

I stayed for a week. Want for nothing else. Beds cosy and warm at this time of year even with electric blanket for those who need. Everywhere is very clean. The organization of the running of the place is PERFECT! There are kayaks for free and a bus to take you to surf spots and then there's the surf lessons...

Totally fell in love with this place. Way different than all the other backpackers. Friendly easygoing stuff and a very social lifestyle there. Everybody is hanging around with each other. The rooms are small but enough though most the time you are outdoors. They offer Sauna, a Whirlpool and lot of activities like Yoga, Kayaking and of course surfing! The...

Myself and two visitors (fellow motorcyclists) I was hosting from South Australia stayed one night - we were given the 'Sun Room' - had its own shared amenities (kitchen and bathroom). Our sleeping provision (two bunks and one double) was clean and warm. Offered great value ($NZ29 pax) and staff were warm and friendly. Made us smile when we were...

I stayed for one night at this hostel and the experience was great. They have several rooms surrounding a small garden. The kitchen was well equipped but a little small if there are many people using it at the same time. The hostel had a free sauna, free hot pool, free kayak (not to be used in the sea), and...
