Good location just next to the water! good common areas with hammocks, hot pool and sauna. Friendly staff & excellent service! Rooms have good space and are clean, hot blankets and heaters in the rooms witch is a big plus when winter has arrived. They have activities almost every night, surfboards ect for rent. I would recommend this place for...

Loved our stay at Raglan Backpackers! Clean rooms, amazing staff, great location and a fun vibe. They have kayaks, hot tub and a sauna that you can use for free which is awesome. Couldn't be happier with our visit and will come back as soon as possible!!

The facilities are awesome, but the staff is majorly cranky, probably because they are always hung over. Unless they are trying to sleep with you, they treat the guests like unwanted couch surfers, which isn't very nice when you're paying to stay there. Don't bother going to bed, nobody else does, and they'll talk and laugh and smoke pot until...

Me and my friend stayed here for one night, and it was probably one of the most hostile places I've stayed so far. I think most of the people live there, so they kind of already have their circle and literally nobody talked to us despite us sitting in the common areas. They wanted our passport numbers and when we...

This place is consistently good offering a great location and value for money. I stayed in a 4 berth dorm - $NZ31/night to attend the BMW GS Rallye. Kieran still the manager, as he was when I visited in September 2015. Despite being in my late '60's I find staying here to be a great experinece. Amenities - bathrooms and...

I really likes it here! I think I got a bit spoiled. The room was quit bog. If you were lucky you could pick a dubbelbed for yourself (I had the bunkbed, but still) we had electric blankets! They have enough space in the kitchens and a nice shower. You can go surfing every day and rent a board and...

We stayed here (2 people) for 3 nights in a dorm room with 6 beds. We got a really comfortable dubble bed, and the wc is just next to the room! The hostel has kayaks, sauna and hot tub free to use. We went here to surf and they have good deals and can help you. We rented boards and...

I stayed here back in 2010 and had good memories of the place, so decided to go back again this time. Took the single room because I'm done with dorms (but I stayed in the dorms a few years back and they were fine. I just prefer a single room now. Am old). Such friendly staff, and no wifi means...

Room was fine, a very nice courtyard with jacuzzi, kitchens were good, filtered water which tastes delicious, the staff is very friendly, and of course it is an amazing surfing spot! The facilities for surfing are also amazing in this hostel. I highly recommend to go here. No wifi but that makes the atmosphere more social plus you can get...
