Was looking for a hotel for Spice Mas 2019 and found this hotel.

The first thing I loved about the location was how close it was to EVERYTHING!!

The Mall - Across the street
The Beach - On the property
The bus stop - across the street

Everything was within a 5 minute walk.

The staff was very accomodating and check in was a breeze.

On J'Ouvert morning when we returned they had towels and soap all ready for us to wash off the oil and paint which was very convenient.

The one minus was they did not have rooms with kitchens but would definitely stay there again!

Look, most of the critical things are there to make this a great place. Location is definitely 10/10, for instance. The rooms are acceptable, quite spacious, and the grounds are nothing special, but nor are they shabby. I understand that it's not a luxury resort, and frankly appreciate that, cause they have a reasonable price point. However, there's some sloppy aspects to it, like how the rooms could be cleaner (bed clean, bathroom clean, floor not so much), and better maintained. Specifically on that maintenance point, the mosquito nets had gaps fitting in the window and I got a few love kisses from those buzzing ladies of the blood drinking variety.

None of the above were enough to "ruin" our stay, but I definitely can see room for improvement, so will say 4/5. Could be a lot better if only a little more effort was made.

Other than that, I heartily commend their nice balconies for every room, their fridge/safe in every room, their front desk staff who were courteous and helpful, and of course the perfect location and value for the price paid.

The Restaurant on site was very expensive and was empty of people most of the time. But i would definitely stay there again as Umbrellas was a 5 minute walk away on the beach and was heaving with people, music and great food all at a reasonable price. Staff at the Allamanda were very helpfull and friendly.

Despite a perfect location in the center of Grand Anse Beach, we found this hotel to be pretty depressing overall. Rooms in particular were dark and dated. Despite the promise of an ocean view, our bed faced a wall, and we could barely see the outside from the room (let alone the water). The fountain in the lobby was empty, and there were dead flowers in vases on the wall. There's a restaurant associated with the hotel on the premises, but dinner was very mediocre.

It doesn't take much to make me happy in the Carribean, and I've stayed at some very simple, basic places that I've loved. But overall, the Allamanda left us feeling rather low. It's too bad, because with a little work, this could be a nice place.

I am very happy we chose this hotel, even though it may not be for everyone. However you get what you pay for and more. (If you want high end experience go to Silversand, but be prepared to pay 5-times more)

It is a low-key and simple hotel, with aging room interior, yet clean with a very friendly owner and enthusiastic guests. Basic amenities (like beach towels and toiletries) are provided and the front desk kindly arranged a taxi to the airport (though you may want to prenegotiate the price if you are stingy)

The hotel has its own beautiful beachfront with chairs, no crowd, great sunsets and a nicer pool than what I expected. Yes; sadly their restaurant is closed, but there are several restaurants and a supermarket within 3 minutes walk: none of them are of US high life standards, but they provide what you need, and the best restaurant that we found on the island is also in easy walking distance on the beach.
Also the bus stop is with 3 minutes that takes you into the capital (and you don’t want to miss that busing experience if you traveled this far)

This hotel is basic; the restaurant is closed. However, it has direct access to the stunning beach; the same beach as the Coyaba Beach Resort, which is at least 3 times the price and the Radisson which is more than twice the price. The rooms were very clean, the housekeepers came in every day; pool/beach towels were provided and changed when requested, as were the bath towels. There were sun loungers provided for the beach, with amazing huge trees that were great for sheltering from the sun. The gardens were immaculate. The staff at the hotel are very helpful. If you want 5 star luxury this is not the hotel for you, but if you want somewhere that is clean and comfortable, at a very affordable price, this is great. Easy walking access to restaurants and the nearby shopping mall.

We just spent ten days in this lovely hotel. The room was large with an Ocean view. Room was beautifully made up daily. Ceiling fan kept us cool, though a/c was on standby. Good coffee machine that could also make tea. The famous Grand Anse beach was 40 metres down the path past the swimming pool and the charming Joseph made sure we had well-placed sun beds every day.

The staff, managed by the lovely Debbie, were all super-helpful and pleasant. Step forward Schielena, Rashida, Nelson and the rest of you - not forgetting Leroy “The Engine”!
We do hope to return soon.

My 8 nights at Allamanda Beach Resort during the Christmas week 2022 were very restful and enjoyable. My 2rd floor beach front view room was picturesque. Couldn’t put down my phone camera. Loved the large room with a hot tub and high ceiling. I didn’t missed the hotel kitchen, which Allamanda no longer has. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were ready available from the Wall Street shopping area, Grant Anse shopping center!, Spiceland mall and Real Value supermarket and Grant Anse craft & spice market, are all just a flew steeps away from the hotel. Daily house keeping keep the room clean. Thanks for a memorable stay. Money will spend.

We can’t thank the owner and the staff team enough for their compassion and the care that they showed us during our stay. They were so accommodating and always meet our requests positively. The hotel offers excellent value for money where else can you stay in a hotel on Grand Anse beach for that price. The hotel is clean, welcoming and friendly. The facilities are good and the surrounds surreal. It made our stay enjoyable and momentous. The restaurant is closed however there are plenty of eating and drinking places nearby. We certainly experienced the real Grenadian experience and plan to visit again soon.

If you like the beach, that is the Allamanda’s best feature! Right on the beach with lounge chairs available for guests. The rooms are spacious and have the amenities you need. There is no longer a restaurant, lounge or bar but they do provide you extra coffee and coffee makers in the rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are a couple of good restaurants on the beach close by as well as a shopping mall with a food court and large grocery store. The air conditioner works great and cools the room down quickly. It is also nice to have a balcony to watch the sunset. The hotel is close to the airport, and we were permitted to check in 2 hours early. There was a broken door lock to our balcony, but we were given a bolt to jam the door… no buggy. As a whole the hotel has been around the block a few times, but they clean the rooms as clean as they can get. Not a swanky place, but affordably price, good value. I would come back.

We found the portions large and so we brought 1 meal and shared it. The cost was 10-15 USD. Theres lots of choice curry, rice, mac ‘n’ cheese, jerk chicken, Jamaican Patti, Chinese, pizza and burgers. There is a supermarket across the road which offers a full range of food, drinks, meals, snacks and toiletries.

When you leave the hotel, go to your right and the very first hotel services us a breakfast buffet since the hotel has no restaurant. The is a very nice bar/restaurant a little further down that same street to the right....Sorry for the delay in responding
