Hi guys
We stayed here 1 night.
Not a basic hotel certainly not. There is no telephone in the room . There is no need to if you have a mobile phone. There is no elevatator. But there are just 2 floors. If you are disabled, ask for a room on the ground floor.
Quality of breakfast was very good. The waiter was very attentive. The biggest advantage of this hotel its beautiful grounds.
I would say a 5 star hotel, until the neighbour flushed his toilet. Noisy.
regards
schliek

I went there for a night as I was attending a family event at the Castle. The castle is beautiful.
The location is very good, the place is nice and quiet, surrounded by greenery.
I was alone and I had a real single bed 😃.
The rooms are a bit old fashioned but there’s everything in it with even a mini fridge and a safe.
Everything was clean but unfortunately there was two strands of hair in the bathtub.
The bed is very comfortable the pillow was bit hard.
The breakfast is a buffet and is more than correct.
The reception staff is really nice and helpful. They accepted to keep my luggage and there is someone available 24/7.
Appart from the bathtub the hotel I enjoyed my stay.

I stayed in a suite on the ground floor. It was quite spacious and looked recently refurbished.
The room had a kettle and Nespresso machine. There wasn't any fridge
The room also lacks air conditioning. The bedside table is on the small side and there are no additional power plugs next to the bed to charge your phone.
The bathroom is a good size, but no shampoo is provided.
For some unknown reason there were balloons on the floor, which may be nice for kids, but seemed a little strange to me

Excellent! Stayed there on business for two nights. Arrived on Wednesday 15.05.24 after a flight from Manchester UK. We had an early start on Thursday and Sem on reception kindly arranged a pre packed breakfast for us. Thanks mate you're a star!
Sadly there's no on site restaurant for an evening meal, however it's only a 15-20 min easy stroll into town for a sit down meal and both nights we stayed they were very reasonable and very enjoyable! Heemskerk's absolutely charming, for me noted the understated Dutch design which I love, very peaceful town as well.
Breakfast on Friday morning was very tasty and plenty there for anyone's choice, very much enjoyed that.
Lovely hotel and staff and I'd happily recommend.

We were with a coach party for our visit to Holland tulip festival at the end of April for 5 days.
Our room was on the ground floor, a very good size room with a nice bathroom. Beds were ok but not great, however sheets & bedding very clean. Always had good hot water, clean towels & toiletries.
The whole room did need a little TLC as very tired looking & carpet faded.
We had evening meals at the Chateau every night which we were told was " next door".However this turned out to be 1/2 mile walk there & 1/2 mile back every night. We managed, but if you have trouble walking or just weary after a days sightseeing this could be a problem if you have no other means of transport. Once there I can say the food was excellent.

There is not telephone inside of each room if you want to ask something with receptionist you have go there! I ask them why you do not have telephone inside they answered that company install it has been bankrupt then we do no have it ! If you have baby or children be aware they do not have elevatator .
Quality of breakfast was ok but attitude of stuff was very aggressive . This hotel needs serious renovating. The biggest advantage of this hotel its beautiful area.

Stayed here for a wedding held in the chateau. The wedding was outstanding, the most amazing staff and great food and drink. It’s a breathtaking setting for a wedding but for the life of me, I couldn’t understand why the hotel was so run down. There was no care with the hotel, the ill-fitting linen and towels were mouldy as were the bathroom tiles, the gym had no air con or decent machines and the bar was poorly staffed. Worst of all there was NO fans or air con in the rooms!! We sweated all night. Our only relief was to open the balcony doors but this let mosquitoes in. The staff were nice and helpful but sadly that didn’t make up for a poorly attended to hotel. Please don’t let the hotel be the ugly sister of your estate!! The chateau is wonderful- it’s sad to see the hotel be such a disappointment in comparison.

This was our third stay at this hotel so we knew roughly what to expect.
As in previous years, the lady at the reception desk was very helpful and let us lock up our bicycles in the nearby dovecote (de duiventil). At our request, she also allocated us a room facing the pond as we like to hear the ducks. The ducks are quite 'noisy', but we find their periodic quacking a delightful sound and this is one of the reasons we like to return to this hotel. Apart from that the location is very green and quiet, but only a short distance away from supermarkets etc. (by bicycle). It is very convenient for cyclists, with marked routes nearby. There are also walks around Heemskerk that you can start from the hotel (leaflet available at reception). We did not notice the poor soundproofing mentioned in another review, but may have been lucky to have quiet neighbours. The rooms might benefit from some further renovation, but everything seemed clean enough, the bed was comfortable, the shower was good and there was a small fridge and an electric kettle to make drinks. The room was also quite spacious, with a small balcony in front of the window, complete with two chairs. As with many hotel rooms, brighter lighting might be an improvement. All in all, we had a good stay and found the personnel very friendly and accommodating.

My family of 4 stayed here for a week last month. It’s in a lovely forest just on the outskirts of a nice small Dutch town. It’s shares the grounds with a castle. The plus points are the location, lovely and quiet with some nice short walks to have around the grounds. Fantastic staff, very friendly and very helpful, always willing to go the extra mile, wonderful buffet breakfast, again fab staff and delicious food every morning. Also very close to town. The main thing that let the hotel down for me was the beds. Mine was not comfortable at all, the duvet and pillows also felt very old and worn and passed their best. Just updating the beds, pillows and duvets would be a big plus and I would have got more sleep! The cleaners came when you asked and did a great job cleaning but I do wish they would not change the towels every day, they did despite me putting them up and never leaving them on the floor, just such a waste of laundering and not very eco friendly. All in all, a lovely hotel with so much potential to be a bit more special. A bit dated in places but that doesn’t bother me. But please change your beds and pillows and duvets :)
