I have returned to this wonderful hotel three times since 2019. Going back in summer 2024! The staff are friendly, the hotel is cute and located right across from the beach. Breakfast is amazing (even in COVID they provided a scrumptious buffet). Many rooms have amazing terraces overlooking the sea. Lovely garden out back for a spritz. Easy to get to from Rine by train. Easy to get to airport by bus or taxi. My favorite place to either start or end a vacation in Italy!

Booked this hotel not only because I had a birthday party in Rome and wanted to escape the summer crowds but also because I wanted to finally visit Ostia Antica. In the end, under the effects of too much heat, I ended up spending quite some time in the hotel room and lounge and liked it. The feeling of the place is a bit old fashioned, a bit old world, with many posters (some quite old originals) all over the place, and some chairs and objects which give colour and charm to several areas. The welcome was genuinely warm, the breakfast was good and varied and there was a nice bar for that evening drink or afternoon coffee. The room was of good size, per haps in need of a refurbishment here or there but nothing major. I had a problem with my shower and it was quickly replaced. Service was good and the airconditioning worked really well. The hotel faces the beach and some of the front rooms have a well sized balcony. The train station is not too far and the airport is about 25 minutes away by taxi or 35 by bus. Nice songs played all day in the reception lounge as well as in the breakfast room: a mix of good jazz and some San Remo winners. There is something of a feeling of nostalgia all over Lido de Ostia so the hotel fits well with its surrounding environment. I noticed that pets were accepted and well treated, and the corridors and rooms were always spotless clean. Some walls were a bit thin but not enough to disturb my sleep. I actually miss those days facing the Tirrenian sea.

Cosy, quaint, shabby chic family run small hotel. My husband, my youngest adult daughter and I spent 2 nights here. As a family we had mixed reviews and my husband has left a separate Booking.com review which states the cleanliness could be better but . . . I disagree! I loved this place. It was clean it was just eclectic which gave it a shabby chic feel. The rooms are small, the balconies are big, the service is warm and I felt cared for by the hotel owner, receptionist and other lovely staff. We were offered free dinner both evenings and it was delicious home cooked pasta with a dessert of Tiramisu served in vintage teacups and was delicious. She was attentive and friendly and the chefs came out to serve it! You will love this place as much as me if you like homely, personal, family. You will not be as keen if, like my husband, you prefer modern, luxury hotels, glamour. If anything could be improved I suggest the beds first please!

What a fantastic find! This is a quirky little boutique hotel across from the ocean. It is filled with interesting memorabilia and just has a light-hearted vibe. There is an extensive back area for relaxing in the shade. Quiet and perfect for reading. Across the street are Stabilimento, which are the Italian Beach Clubs. The front desk can arrange for a day pass for you and it is very well worth it to experience the "Italian Experience" of a leisurely day at the beach. A hearty thank you to the great staff and reception at Le Sirenetta. This time was only meant as a stay over near the airport, but the next time, I will consider Lido di Ostia as a destination.

Wonderful hotel. Large rooms, balcony view of the beach right across the street. It was the off season so everything was closed but you could still walk the beach in the morning and evening. Breakfast buffett was very good. Convenient walking distance to shops in restaurants. Close to the airport but not at the airport, very relaxing. Would stay here again.

Delightful, kitschy hotel. Take time to soak up the lobby and main floor. Breakfast was included the next morning and it was generous. The bed (and pillow) was one of the best I slept on during our trip to Italy.

Mentioning things here NOT as complaint but to state how things were as we experienced them so folk know what to expect . We stayed at the Sironetta as a night stop before getting a flight, wanting to be near the coast to escape heat . The hotel is quirky with ‘vintage travel items‘ collection scattered about in the public areas . They are fun when you start exploring them, but first impressions are ‘tired and dusty’. Chipped paintwork on doors & grubby looking tired garden cushions etc make the lovely collectables appear to be more ‘thrift store decor ‘ (rather than chic stylish boutique’). The staff & service was fab. The bedrooms & bathrooms are dated but clean with a/c , ours had a lovely sea view private terrace . A well stocked minibar and bountiful fruit basket was a lovely addition to the room . Staff were available at all times and we were welcome to use the lounge (cool but not a/c ) & garden area ( shaded but not a breeze ) post-check out while we waited around before the shuttle arrived . We booked the recommended shuttle ( card at reception & in room to book yourself via WhatsApp though staff will do it if you prefer). The ‘shuttle’ is not a bus collecting from various places before heading out to the airport (as we assumed) but a form of ‘taxi’ service , whilst not being an actual taxi . Very efficient . There is no restaurant in the actual hotel , there are many good ones locally in a pedestrian area a few blocks away , but you can order take away and use the hotel spaces or your room to eat if you prefer. We experienced the ‘resort’ itself as tired & dated and many of the the streets were quite messy with litter, broken pavings and graffiti - a surprise after being in central Rome and Tuscany where lack of littering was noticeable. We didn’t bother with the ‘private club ‘ beaches as that’s not our kind of thing .

Great hotel with a very friendly staff. Looks a bit like a boutique hotel and it’s directly opposite the beach. We stayed at the upper rooms with view over sea. Not far from railway station and town. Breakfast very simple but ok. A great thanks you to Berta for the morning coffee at breakfast.

We booked this hotel as it offered a balcony and a sea view at a very good rate. It was central to the Bagni on the beach (where you can hire the sun beds and parasols). we had breakfast included. As it was during C-19 the breakfast was ordering rather than buffet style and you had to book, but it was very nice and we get everything we needed. the room was smaller than I expected and we had a bit of a funny time dancing around us, but the balcony was excellent and we used it during the mornings and evenings. The hotel has a 60s charm, with lovely travel posters and weird decorations. Staff were very helpful in answering all my questions. We got a transfer back to the airport for 25 Euro, which took 15 min. the Metro goes direct to Rome and Ostia Antica and costs 1,50 Euro/100min trip - perfect for a day trip. Lots of restaurants, gelaterie and bars - all you need!
