We went for the "All Inclusive" (flights and car hire included) So very helpful and their local knowledge made the weekend a simple, carefree joy. The accommodation and fresh local produce exceeded our expectations. Fantastic weekend.
We had a wonderful 3 nights here, Wonderful hosts Lynda and Ian - they can't do enough for you, very informative, friendly and thoroughly enjoyed them. The whole place is fantastic - very luxurious, gorgeous views, very spacious and comfortable rooms, common areas are great too. The breakfast too is excellent. They made our visit to the island very special. Will definitely stay there again if we visit the island again.
Fantastic hosts and brilliant lodge showcasing the spectacular NZ outdoors and hospitality . Easy to get to with an half our flight from Auckland airport.. We went fishing, hiking, and toured the island, The island cafes were great. If we had more time I would have played golf. Would definitely go back for a longer stay, we had such a relaxing time. Brilliant.
The Trillium Lodge was fantastic...an incredibly beautiful location, comfortable room with a gorgeous view, and excellent hosts! Lynda went above and beyond and made sure we had everything we needed. We are looking forward to staying here again when we come back to New Zealand!
I first visited the Lodge 20 years ago, and so loved it I took my wife back on our 50th anniversary of meeting. It again met all my expectations. Lynda and Jo were great hosts, very informative of where to go and what to do and so friendly. Lovely buffet breakfast and fantastic views from everywhere. Just loved the log cabin design.
Lovely weekend away in a fabulous place. Friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts were the best! Fresh fruit, homemade granola and muesli, croissants, pastries, bread, homemade jams and marmalade! Simply divine. Rooms large and so comfortable, lovely homely touches. The view and bush around was so peaceful. Jo and Glen were wonderful hosts, nothing too much trouble. Looking forward to our next visit.
Trillium is a remarkable lodge situated high above the water. Its exceptional proprietors Lynda and Jo made us feel like family. And the breakfasts! Trillium presents a gorgeous selection, which we ate every day outside on the sunny deck overlooking the harbor. From our comfy room we could stargaze. Jo and Lynda's family have been on Great Barrier for decades and they can answer all your questions and recommend hikes and other activities. If I could, I'd give it ten stars. Thank you for a most memorable visit.
I loved this place. A little Oasis on the top of the hill. Stunning view. Super friendly and helpful host. Breakfast was delicious, lots of options. Room was lovely and it was awesome stargazing at night. WOW.
We had a wonderful time at Trillium Lodge. The views were just wonderful and Lynda was an amazing host. The breakfasts were delicious and sitting on the deck with the view of the sea and hills was an uplifting way to start the day! We felt really at home at Trillium and loved the relaxed atmosphere and comfortable surroundings that Lynda has created. Would we stay here again? In a heartbeat.
We had an enjoyable two night stay at Trillium Lodge. Lynda was a knowledgeable and welcoming host who provided a fantastic continental breakfast. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the lodge itself had a great history and is quite unique in its construction. In front of the open log fire in the living room was a great place to enjoy a drink after a day exploring the island.
